Chapter 739
When Rosalie reached the staircase, she happened to catch sight of Jonathan, but to her surprise,
Calvin was also there.
“Why is Calvin here?” she thought.

Just as Rosalie was about to descend the stairs, she heard Calvin say, “I never expected that
Rosalie’s case from back then would also be rted to you.”
In an instant, Rosalie halted her steps and couldn’t breathe.
“What did Calvin mean by that? What did he mean by my case being rted to Jon? Wasn’t the car
ident case already closed? Didn’t they find the real culprit?” she questioned herself.
“Is that what you want to talk about?” Jonathan replied nonchntly with a faint voice.
Calvin continued, “The man named Mike was just a pawn. You, on the other hand, knew who the
real mastermind behind Rosalie’s predicament was, but you turned a blind eye to it. Why? Just for
the sake of some trivial benefits rted to the Hamilton family? You ruined her entire life!”
Jonathan’s eyes darkened. “It seems like my grandfather had some hidden cards. Is this information
from him?”
“Someone sent me an anonymous email with all the files rted to Amelia’s case, along with the
details of the interests transferred between the Youngblood family and the Hamilton family after that
incident.”
“Back then, the Youngblood family and the Hamilton family were jointly developing the ‘Unity Ville’
project in the west of the city. If the truth about the car ident involving the Hamilton family had
been exposed, it would have been a scandal that would have been difficult for them to cover up. It
would have also caused significant losses to the Youngblood family,” he continued.
He went on, “Originally, the project was supposed to be developed jointly, with profits shared
ording to the contribution ratio, each party holding 50 percent. However, after Rosalie was
imprisoned, the Hamilton family transferred 20 percent of the profits to Youngblood Group. Why did
they do that?”
Calvin had clearly conducted a thorough investigation, and every word he spoke was sharp and
probing.
Jonathan, who had initially appeared nonchnt, now wore a dark expression. His pitch-ck eyes
fixed firmly on the man before him.
“What is your purpose ining to tell me all this?”
“I have only one question for you. Do you really intend to give Rosalie true justice?” Calvin asked in
a deep voice.
“I am seeking justice for her right now,” Jonathan replied.

Calvin suddenly sneered, “Your so-called justice is nothing more than bringing down the Hamilton
family and the Xanthos family. But the real culprit can still escape justice, and even now, Rosalie
doesn’t know that the person who truly harmed her was Yvette, the second daughter of the
Hamilton family, and Zachary’s fiancée!”
Jonathan’s eyes
eyes darkened even further, and on the second floor, Rosalie froze upon hearing Yvette’s name.
‘The real culprit was Yvette?
The very person who had vowed to seek revenge for Mnie when she was in prison? And
Jonathan knew about it? He knew from the beginning that Yvette was the true culprit?’ she thought
to herself.
From the very beginning, Jonathan had known that Rosalie was wrongly used. Yet, because of
the interests of the corporation, he had chosen to stand by and remain silent, allowing her to be
imprisoned and wronged by the Hamilton family.
At that moment, Rosalie felt a chilling sensation coursing through her body. The staircase before
her, leading to the first floor, was just a short distance away, with only about 30 steps. However, why
did she feel like these steps were getting longer and longer as if she would never reach the end?
“If you truly want to give Rosalie justice, then you should ensure that Yvette faces thew, that the
Hamilton family, and even yourself, receive the rightful consequences!” Calvin said angrily.
The thought of Rosalie being wrongly imprisoned because of Yvette’s
involvement pained him deeply. If he had been there… If he had been by her side, he would never
have allowed her to suffer such an unjust fate.
A surge of hostility filled Jonathan’s eyes. He rushed forward and grabbed Calvin by the cor.
“What do you understand? What right do you have to speak so boldly before me? If I had met
Rosalie earlier, if I had fallen in love with her sooner, how could I have allowed her to endure that
suffering?”
Calvin sneered, “Yes, because at that time, you hadn’t fallen in love with her yet, so… The suffering
she endured meant nothing to you. To you, it was just a trivial matter of no importance.”
“Calvin, why have youe here today to say all of this? Are you nning to tell Rosalie about
this? To tell her that I stood by and did nothing? To tell her that I knew who the real culprit was? If
you dare to do so, I’ll kill you!”
His statement wasn’t an empty threat; it was a clear deration.
Calvin could tell from Jonathan’s determined demeanor, built over years of friendship, that he was
dead serious. He was willing to go to great lengths to keep this secret hidden.
“I won’t say anything,” Calvin replied. His decision toe forward and discuss

the matter with Jonathan meant he had already made up his mind. “But, let me be clear. I’m not
doing this out of fear for you. I’m doing it for Rosalie.”
Rosalie was now seven months pregnant, and the answers she had given him during the funeral
had made him reluctant to disrupt her happiness.
He didn’t want to tell her although he knew that revealing the truth could potentially strain the
rtionship between Rosalie and Jonathan, maybe even causing her to leave Jonathan.
However, if the life now was the life she truly wanted, then perhaps it was better to let the matter
rest.
Calvin had also wondered why Leonard hadn’t directly given these documents to Rosalie but had
chosen to give them to him instead.
Perhaps Leonard was also wrestling with the decision of whether to let Rosalie know the truth.
Therefore, he left the decision to Calvin.
While not many knew about Calvin’s feelings for Rosalie, Leonard was likely aware of it.
His decision even mirrored Leonard’s-both chose not to disclose the truth to Rosalie.
“But, Jonathan, if there everes a day when you betray Rosalie, I’ll expose the truth. Even if I
can’t ruin your reputation, I’ll ensure you face the consequences you deserve,” Calvin dered
resolutely.
“There will never be such a day,” Jonathan retorted coldly.
