Aiden looked up and fixed his gaze upon Jack’s face. “We’re waiting for Dad toe home. Mom says
once he is back, we can go out and y together.”

happened?” Jack asked.
Amanda helplessly closed her eyes, secretlyining about her son’s indiscretion to herself.

While Jack continued with his meal without saying a single word, Crispin, who was quietly listening all

As Stephanie heard the sound of the door being closed, she copsed onto the ground, her eyes filled

In the meantime, Amanda apanied Aiden in the garden where the child was so engrossed in

huge trouble?”
“Do you seriously think your n is wless and perfect? Or do you think my dad really trusts you
without question? If he really trusts you, why didn’t he let you into hispany? Haha…” Amanda
intentionally didn’t finish her sentence, leaving Crispin hanging and guessing her message. She then
rose from her seat and walked up to Aiden. “Aiden, drink some water. It’s so hot today, and you don’t
want to end up getting a heatstroke.”
“Okay.” Aiden certainly enjoyed his time ying in the garden, but as he was sweating profusely, he
began to feel thirsty and decided to get off his excavator.

“So, how was everything? Good?” Amanda chuckled on the other side of the phone.
“Yeah, I think so. At least I can finally heave a sigh of relief, although I still have some unfinished
business to take care of in the next few days. How is our son doing? Is he mad at me?”
“Of course he is. He is calling you a liar who always fails to keep his promise. He doesn’t even want to
talk to you anymore.” Amanda’s voice sounded so coquettish that it was almost too confusing for Elias
to tell whether she wasining or ying on his sympathy.
“Don’t talk to me like that.” Elias chuckled.
“Why?”
“Because I may give in to my temptation and fly back immediately just to pin you down in bed.” As
Amanda responded with silence, the manughed even louder. “What’s wrong? Are you scared?”
“Why should I? It’s not like I haven’t seen that before.” Amanda’s face blushed in embarrassment, but
because they were talking to each other over the phone, she was grateful that Elias couldn’t see her
expression at that moment.
