Chapter 1801 How Dare He
“Dad, think about it! If you continue hitting him, Yasmeen will get really angry and ignore youter. You
know how she is. She may throw a temper and don’t even want to hold the wedding anymore. She’ll
probably just elope with Lucas, then you’ll regret this.”
Patrick said casually. Steven stopped whipping Lucas upon hearing that.
Lucas nced at Patrick. Awesome! He had a nice future brother-inw.
“Get out and go rest somewhere.”
But Lucas said nonchntly, “I don’t have time to rest because I must take the ne back hometer. I
also told my brother to find apatible kidney donor so that Yasmeen do the surgery tomorrow.”
“What?”
Steven was taken aback.
“It’s not that easy to find apatible kidney donor. If you really love my daughter, you should just give
the kidney back to her. Why go through so much trouble?”
Lucas looked at Steven and exined patiently, “I cannot give it back to her just like that. It’s risky for
her health if we do so. Even though Yasmeen should be mostpatible with her own kidney, but it
has already been in my body for so long. It waspatible with me and my body didn’t reject it. It’s not
necessarily a good idea to give it back to Yasmeen right now. It’s better to find her another donor. Not
to mention that I’m afraid of dying now.”
“What?”
Steven thought that he was hearing things.
Lucas said that he was scared of dying?
Lucas was in the army for many years and was always risking his life. He did every mission even
though some were dangerous. Steven had never seen him afraid of anything, but now Lucas was
saying that he was afraid of dying.
Lucas noticed how shocked Steven was. He smiled and said, “Yes, I’m scared of dying. I never thought
this way before, but my life also belongs to Yasmeen right now. I need to stay alive. My main priority
now is to make sure that she’s happy for as long as she lives.”
“Such a smooth talker. Your father wasn’t like this.”
Even though Steven mocked Lucas, but the expression in his eyes and on his face looked gentler now.
“Ask Patrick to put some ointment on your wound, you should leave immediately after that. Also, I’m
going with you after I settle some matters.”
Steven went out after saying that.
Patrick quickly went up and helped Lucas up.
Lucas was actually hurt quite badly.
It definitely hurt to get whipped on the body. Patrick had experienced this before, so he was awed at
how Lucas didn’t even make any noises when he got hit.
“Brother-inw, I’m counting on you in the future.”
Patrick talked very softly, but Lucas felt reassured hearing him referring to him as his brother-inw.
“Okay. I will watch your back as long as it’s not something outrageous.”
“Thank you, brother-inw.”
Patrick helped Lucas into the guest room.
Lucas wanted to go back as soon as possible, but he had to take it slow.
Steven got a doctor to look at Lucas, but before the doctor arrived, Lucas had already fainted from the
pain.
Ashley heard from Steven that Lucas was looking for apatible kidney donor for Yasmeen. She
decided to go with Lucas. Steven suggesteding with her, but Ashley said no.
“You’re not only a father, but you’re also the king. There’s a lot of things that you must do here. Are you
done preparing for our daughter’s wedding? That’s important too.”
Steven was unwilling, but he listened to his wife. Though, Patrick would be going with Lucas.
Yasmeen couldn’t get through Steven’s phone. As she was about to leave the room, she noticed
Jaydon standing outside. Yasmeen was taken aback.
“Why are you here?”
“Young Master ordered me to protect you at all times, Miss Shaw.”
Jaydon said casually. Even though Lucas found out that she was a girl, she still dressed gender-
neutrally.
Yasmeen nodded and asked, “Did Lucas go to my ce?”
“Yes.”
Jaydon’s answer made Yasmeen feel troubled.
How dare he!
He tricked her!
“Why did he go there?”
“Young Master said that he went there to ask for your family’s blessing. I don’t know anything more
than that.”
Yasmeen’s heart was beating fast upon hearing that.
But shouldn’t they go together?
Why did he leave alone?
“Prepare me a flight, I want to go home!”
Yasmeen started to pack up after saying that, but Jaydon said, “I’m sorry, Miss Shaw. Young Master
said that you have to wait here quietly until hees back.”
“Why?”
Yasmeen was dumbfounded.
Why couldn’t she go back to her own home?
Why was he forcing her to stay here?
She was also uneasy after seeing the picture that her brother sent her.
She didn’t know why her father hit Lucas. Her brother wouldn’t lie to her, so what exactly happened?
The Shaw family and the Bush family had a good rtionship. Her father shouldn’t hit Lucas for no
reason.
Unless Lucas did something very wrong.
But what could he have done?
Many thoughts ran through her head, but she couldn’t figure it out.
“Did Lucas say anything before he left?”
“No.”
Jaydon shook her head.
Yasmeen didn’t know why Lucas was doing this, but she still went back to her room obediently. She
said, “I’m hungry, can you get me something to eat?”
“Sure.”
Jaydon nodded her head. She walked out of the room and told the people outside to get food.
After that, she went back into the room. Yasmeen felt sleepy, sheid down on the bed.
Jaydon left her alone. She went to another room and stayed there.
Not long after, she heard noisesing from outside.
Jaydon frowned and stood up immediately.
“Who is it?”
The other person didn’t answer and ran away quickly.
Jaydon thought about chasing the person, but she remembered what Lucas said to her when she got
to the door.
Lucas told her to not leave Yasmeen’s side no matter what.
It was the first mission that Lucas gave her, she couldn’t mess this up.
She thought about it and went back inside. She then went to check up on Yasmeen.
Yasmeen was still sleeping, but there was an odd mild fragrance in the room that was rather refreshing.
Did Yasmeen burn some scented incense?
Jaydon was confused, but she quickly went and opened the window.

The wind blew into the room and the scent dissipated. Yasmeen woke up in a daze, her head was
splitting.
“What’s going on? My head hurts.”
She rubbed her temple and frowned. She looked like she was in pain.
Jaydon’s heart skipped a beat.
Could it be that there was something wrong with that incense?
She quickly looked around and found an incense in the corner of the room that wasn’tpletely burnt
yet.
She quickly extinguished it and gave it to Morty, telling him to examine it.
Yasmeen realized that something was going on, seeing how serious and anxious Jaydon was. She
grimaced and looked around the room. She felt like an invisible pair of eyes were staring at her from
the dark, like a poisonous snake staring at its prey.
Who was it?
What was their goal?
Yasmeen didn’t know and it sent a shiver down her spine.
