“Brother, what are you trying to do?”
Ebby suddenly saw the madness in rk’s eyes.
rk instead justughed, “Look, the Close family hasmitted too many sins through the years,
no? Taking into consideration all of the ordeals we have gone through in the country, and although at
first nce we were guided by our grandfather, it was still us in every missions. We all have parents,
and if you stand in the shoes of our victims, wouldn’t you feel that you don’t have a conscience?”
“Conscience? Brother, what are you saying?”
Ebby stared hard at rk and scanned her surroundings. These people were all victims of the Close
family.
It was not easy for them to train so many men throughout the years which exhausted most of their
wealth and energy. Now, they were all summoned by rk to this ce, which made her feel a little
unease.
Kelly was in a frenzy too.
“You unfilial thing, I have given you the reins of those men so that the Close family will have a way of
backing out when things get dangerous. What are you trying to do now?”
“We are going to get buried together and die together. After all, this is what Alison wants to see. In my
life as a father, I can’t even leave behind anything meaningful for my child. I thought leaving her with

rk was very serene when he spoke as if he was talking about the nice weather of the day. On the
other hand, both Kelly and Ebby was scared out of their wits.
“You unfilial son, did you lose your mind?”
“Brother, you can’t do that!”
However, rk put on an innocent expression, “Why can’t I do that? I think it’s the best for everyone.
Alison is right, the people in the Close family all have great sins. This is the only way we can seek
salvation and wash away our sins. Maybe we can even secure a good chance in the next life. If there is
a next life, I will never lose my child anymore. I will hug her tightly and won’t let her get taken away by

“Brother is crazy! Dad, he’s brainwashed by Alison! He’s out of his mind! You men of the Close family,
get lost! Go get that bomb in his hand. Fast!”
Ebby didn’t want to die just yet.
She was only in her forties. How could she die?
She still had a long life ahead of her.
However, those men seemed like they were deaf to Ebby’s words. They had flooded the whole ce
until there was no way of escaping.
Ebby’s expression drastically changed, and so did Kelly’s expression.
“You unfilial son, are you trying to kill your own father?”
“So what? I am dying with you too. I will make peace with you when we are in the afterlife.”
As he said that, rk removed the safety on the bomb.
Ebby immediately screamed at the top of her lungs due to shock.
“rk, you maniac! I want to get out! Let me get out!”
She started to run outside like crazy, but those men under rk’smand opened fire and shot her
on her leg.
The intense pain caused Ebby to stumble onto the floor as she lost her footing.
The usual noble and majesticdy was now a picture of embarrassment.
Kelly waspletely startled too as he tried to get out of the house, but now that Ebby was shot, he
was utterly shocked and his feet had glued to the ground.
rk looked at the safety which was making some mechanical sound and produced a sarcastic smile.
“I never thought that you guys are afraid of death. It turns out that Alison is right all along, your so-
called justice is just an excuse to cover up the dirty deeds you havemitted. It’s just fine, I am not a
saint either, so we can die together now. Our deaths can add to Alison’s honour too. This is what the
Close family has owed Alison! From now on, she no longer needs to shoulder the filthy name of the
Close family anymore. She will be Tracy forever! She is Chad’s granddaughter! She will cease to
having anything to do with the Close family!”
As he announced all that, rk’s eye became reddish too. A streak of hot tear trickled down his
cheeks.
He was unwilling to part with his daughter!
But he knew that he had done many wronged things to her!
Since the Close family was a taint in her eyes, then she would no longer be part of the family.
Everything was justified as long as she was happy.
“You unfilial son! Unfilial son!”
Kelly was just about to snatch rk’s bomb away, but at the same time, with a loud bang, the whole
ground was shaking.
Alison’s body jolted as if she had realised something. Immediately, her face became pale.
“Dad—”
She wanted to turn around, but she was grabbed by her mother hard.
“Don’t go!”
“Mum?”
Alison gazed at Mrs. Close who was looking very calm and serene, and she couldn’t conceal the shock
on her face.
How could she be so calm?
“Mum, that must be dad! He---“
“This is the only thing he can do for you. Alison, your father regretted losing you the most in his life.
However, he’s still a man, and I am the one who couldn’t bear the pain of losing you. All those years, I
wasted my life away in a blur, and it was your father who has shouldered everything for me. He always
looks so tough, yet I know that he’s very upset and tormented. Now that you’re back, your father is the

pay for the unnecessary sins one day. Your father said that your life has been too difficult, and the
Close family has owed you too much. He said that you can’t have your next life ruined too. This is the
only thing he can do for you. Your father doesn’t wish for you to be Alison. You will continue to be Tracy
and forget about this nightmare.”
Mrs. Close’s lengthy words finally caused a huge turmoil in Alison’s heart.
“No, that’s not it, mum, let me go, I want to check on dad. Mum!”
Alison wanted to struggle and break free from Mrs. Close, however she noticed that there were dark
blooding out of her mouth.
She was immediately frantic.
“Mum, what’s wrong with you? Mum, I’ll bring you to see a doctor. Hang in there!”
Alison’s hand was swiftly grabbed by her mother.
Her mother’s eyes revealed an unusual light of gentleness.
“Alison, there’s no need to do that. Your father has moved on, and I am going to go with him too.
Although your father is a man of few words, he’s a really good man to both me and his daughter. He’s
born in the Close family, and he is also the eldest son of the family, so everything in his life is pre-
arranged without him being able to have any say in. Like it or not, he has to do all those things.
