Chapter 729 Way Off Base
ir was stripped naked and thrown onto the bed in the blink of an eye. Wesley swiftly got on top of
her. "You lied to me. Mmph..." she said when she got a chance to talk between their passionate kisses.
"This is the next attraction. And I''m here having fun with you. After this, we''ll get some rest. Which part
did I lie about?"
he whispered in her ear, breathing heavily. ir couldn''t retort to that. Biting her lips, she suggested,
"You said you wanted to talk. Then, let''s talk."
"I prefer talking like this. Did you miss me?"
"No. I was fine alone— Aah!" She felt a fierce thrust and he was inside her.
Wesley pressed his lips onto hers to stop her from saying something that would kill the mood in the
room.
At half past one in the afternoon, Wesley left for the army base, leaving behind nothing but a torn top
and aplete mess in the bedroom and the bathroom.
ir didn''t see him for the next two days. On the third night, she was sleeping when she heard the
doorbell. She was so terrified that she was wide awake at once. She checked the time. 1 a.m. ir
held her breath; she had no intention of opening the door. The bell rang again and again.
And then, it was quiet for a few seconds. Then her phone vibrated. "Open the door. It''s me."
She let out a relieved sigh.
She got out of bed, straightened her pajamas and opened the door.
Wesley was standing outside. Before she could let him in, Niles, who was staying opposite to her room,
opened his door in his bathrobe. "Wesley?"
he asked in surprise. He had been ying games on his phone when he heard someone ringing ir''s
doorbell. He wasn''t expecting to see Wesley in the hotel in the middle of the night.
Wesley had reached out his hands to hug his woman. Hearing his brother''s voice, he retracted his
hands and turned to Niles. "What? Go to bed!" he scolded impatiently.
Niles felt wronged. "You kept ringing her doorbell. I was worried, and came to check it out."
"Go sleep!"
"Oh c''mon, Brother. Don''t be so cold. Would you like toe into my room and have a heart-to-heart?"
Niles leaned on the door and grinned at him wickedly.
Holding his fist up, Wesley moved towards his room. Frightened, Niles shut his door quickly with a loud
bang. Before Wesley could turn around, he heard another m.
This time, it was ir''s door. ''This man hase here in the middle of the night.
He is definitely not here to talk, '' she thought grumpily.
Wesley took out his phone and sent her a message. "If you don''t open the door after three rings, you
will end up having traveled two thousand miles just to stay in bed all week," he warned.
ir read his message and then heard the rings, but she thought that if she didn''t open the door, he
wouldn''t be able to get in.
Turned out that she was way off base.
The doorbell stopped ringing. ir walked to the door and looked through the peeping hole. Wesley
was gone. iry in bed with mixed feelings. Slowly, she closed her eyes to sleep. Only, she couldn''t.
''Did I cross the line? He came in the middle of the night to see me, yet I refused to let him in, '' she
reflected.
After a few minutes, she heard a beep from the door, so loud and clear in the serene night. ir''s eyes
snapped open. She knew that sound.
She had left the night light on. The door was shut quietly. As ir waited with bated breath, the man
barged into her room and threw the key card onto the table. He took off his coat and hung it on the
clothes rack.
ir sat up and asked in disbelief, "How did you get in? Where did you get the key card?"
Wesley didn''t reply. Nor did he hasten towards her. Instead, he walked into the bathroom.
ir was on pins and needles as she listened to the sshing of watering from the bathroom. She

wondered if she should run out and get another room.
However, before she could make her decision, Wesley was done showering. He walked out of the
bathroom with a towel around his waist.
Toote for her to run.
The moment he approached the bed, she knew that this would be a sleepless night.
Soon enough, ir knew what Wesley had meant in his message. Niles called her the next morning,
inviting her to go out with them. But at that point, she was lying in bed, sleepy and miserable. "I''m too
sleepy, Niles. I''ll pass. Thanks. You go on ahead and have fun."
"What happened to your voice? Did you catch a cold? I can drop by and bring you some medicine."
"No, no. I slepttest night. I just need some rest."
"Ooooh," Niles drawled. "I see. When did my brother leave?"
ir felt embarrassed. "I''m not sure." She was awake when Wesley left, but she was too exhausted to
reach for her phone to check the time.
"Get some sleep. I''ll tell you all about the tourist ces when we get back this afternoon."
ir didn''t wake up until 5 p.m.
She got up and had dinner with the others who had juste back from their trip to some scenic spot.
At midnight, ir locked and chained her door from the inside. Even with the key card, Wesley wouldn''t
be able to get in. Or so she believed.
She was wrong again. He was the God of Warriors. How could he let a mere door stop him?
When the ringing, texting, and the key card failed, ir smiled triumphantly. She was ready to finally
get some sleep.
Just then, she heard some noiseing from near the window.
With the curtains closed, she couldn''t see what was going on.
As the noise got louder, she had an ominous feeling. ''Did he...''
She got out of bed hastily, neglecting her slippers, and opened the thick, heavy curtains. And there he
was.
Wesley had opened her window and gotten in.
ir leaned outside the window and looked down. She was on the 12th floor. How did he even manage
to climb all the way up? ''Can he fly too? Is there anything this man can''t do?''
While she was contemting about his ability to fly, she was forcefully pressed against the window
ss. "Honey, the night is beautiful. Enjoy the view," he said in an evil tone.
"No!" She fought. She was aware of what he was up to.
However, her refusal was too feeble against his force.
She was forced to look at the starry sky as he torn apart her night gown. She cursed him inside
repeatedly, and yet, that was far from enough to make her feel any better.
She had spent over twenty hours on the train to get to this beautiful border city. And now, she felt like
she was here only for his pleasure.
For the next couple of days, ir never left the hotel.
On the fifth night, ir was too afraid to sleep. She cringed in bed, listening to every noise around her
room, as if an evil beast would show up any minute.
It was past 2 a.m., and Wesley still hadn''te. Sleep took over and ir dozed off.
The group had been in XH City for a week. It was time to go back home. They had already booked their
return tickets.
ir didn''t see Wesley in thest two days either. He didn''t call her. And when she tried to call him, his
phone was switched off.
Before they departed, she asked Niles, "Is the army base far from here?" She wanted to get a nce at
him from afar before they left the city.
