He infused his consciousness into the Blood Null Realm stone, which acted as a medium to help Erix explore his Bloodline and upgrade it, based on his own powers.
Erix wanted his Bloodline to have more attributes, and he deemed Nihilir best for the next step, focusing on upgrading his Bloodline by adding Nihilir powers.
The Blood Null Realm stone started filling up with Nihilir Essence. Erix didn''t know what powers and upgrades his Bloodline would have. All he could do was to infuse Nihilir Essence and as much as his understanding of Nihilir into Blood Null Realm stone to begin the upgrade.
While Erix was doing his work, the Blood Null Realm stone was already affecting his Bloodline''s source orb, refining and upgrading his Bloodline based on his actions on the Blood Null realm stone.
