<h4>Chapter 10: The Chase...</h4>


    Cold shadows flickering, through the hallways, moonlight illuminating those shing predatory eyes.


    Four flickering shadows appeared in a gigantic room, their eyes shing at the figure on the bed.


    "Target secured..." One of the shadows input onto the watch on his wrist before a notification appeared replying to the message.


    "Just make sure he never leaves, don''t engage If you don''t have to..."


    With a nod toward the others, they all waited for the next three minutes but they soon noticed an abnormality.


    The figure on the bed strangely never moved or shook at all for thest three minutes. One of the flickering shadows had much doubt having known the reputation of their target slowly moved closer to the bed, as he finally noticed they were truly no sign of breathing from the figure on the bed.


    Dragging the mattress thatpletely covered the body, what was revealed was a stic humanoid figure for testing clothes.


    SHATTER


    The sound of ss shattering to pieces echoed out loudly throughout the entire area as the robed figure looked out the window and saw a golden-haired young man who had already disappeared into an alleyway in the distance.


    "Shit...He escaped..." He gnashed his teeth tightly before a hand came to rest on his shoulder.


    "No, he only dyed his eventual demise. We have the entire 2 km radius under control..." The other robed figure said before they all jumped through the window and closed in on where he disappeared...

    Khan''s eyes shed coldly as he ran with speed through the long cold streets, but even without looking back, he could already see the flickering shadows in the distance rapidly closing in on him and some at the far distance, where he was running to.


    "Just how did they discover so fast..." He mumbled with eyes furrowed but quickly ced the thought back in his head.


    "I need to escape..."


    Rapidly turning through a silent dark corner, he continued running down it as he thought in his mind...


    "Activate Nanorunic Eyes..." The darkness immediately cleared and then filled his vision was a darker shade of ck and also two humanoid figures that would haven''t been perceived before with his normal eyes but Khan never stopped and kept running as if he never noticed their existence.

    A cold shadow shed in the darkness, as it shed with deadly precision towards his neck with a single intent of taking off his head in the blink of an eye but Khan was even faster as his hands immediately reached out, blocking the hand before.

    The sound of bones being broken echoed before Khan mmed his hands to the figure''s neck knocking him out before instantly cing the body on his.


    Immediately, four needles pierced forth with speed towards him, but with the body, as a shield did not harm him while a knife dropped down from Khan''s sleeves as he flung it with speed towards where the needles came from


    RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIP


    The shadowy figure was about to ce another set of needles in its mouth before quickly concealing itself once again but before it could even bring out the needles, it felt something soar through the air, and then an object lodged into his head piercing directly into his brain as he dropped to the ground, his eyes still wide open in death as a figure continued running past him.


    Khan finally exited through the alleyway as he felt the sound of a ring rm in the wide open street which was actually from the train that was moving into the distance.


    "Activate Dash..." Instantly his figure zed with speed as he disappeared from where he stood and into the distance at his fastest speed, the train getting closer than ever but he felt the sound of a helicopter approaching from the direction where the train was going.


    Taking a look at the helicopter, with Nanorunic Eyes on enabled him to see past the helicopter covering and what was within, and he discovered three red energies.


    Two were at the control station flying the helicopter but looking at thatst figure on the helicopter, khan''s eyes widened to saucers as they disyed an emotion never disyed before...


    FEAR!! SPINE-CHILLING FEAR


    And instantly, he abandoned the thought of running to the train and ran back towards where he wasing from but there were more than 100 robed figures surrounding him from all directions.


    He has beenpletely blocked from all distance...


    Khan''s eyes shed as his brain worked full speed, but there was no way through the encirclement.


    The 100 figures in front of him were dead soldiers just like him and the person behind him was...


    "I don''t have a choice, I have to kill all of them..." Two des slipped down from within his sleeves as Khan clenched it in his hands tightly, for he knew well this might perhaps be thest fight of his life...

    The hundred-robed figure all dragged out their weapons too as they also prepared for battle.

    Immediately thousands of tiny Nanobots entered into all of Khan''s cells and bones merging with them making them twice as strong as they would normally be.


    Following that, a powerful wave of aura undted from Khan''s body, as an object red to life just beside his chest, a blue-colored source of energy which was none other than his NanoCore.


    His golden hair seemed to have turned a shade brighter ring with even more golden light as his eyes shed like a brilliant touch

    The floor cracked into pieces as Khan took the fourth step and he disappeared from where he stood as if having teleported.

    The sound of the air being torn as a golden-haired figure with abysmally cold eyes appeared above a hundred dead soldiers and shed downwards...
