Chapter 636
Maybe marrying Mandy could finally grant her the freedom she longed for. Grateful for Mandy''s liver
donation that saved his life, Bradley wanted to offer her a chance at a better life.
"Mr. Warner, I''ll remember your words, and so will Mandy," Selene said indifferently. "Mandy, if he ever
falters in hismitment after marriage, you don''t need to endure it. We won''t trade our daughter for
wealth, even in tough times."
Mandy smiled gently and replied, "Mother, I won''t shame the Pendletons."
Shelly hesitated before speaking as she nced at Selene.
Selene asked, "What is it?"
"Madam, Master Chadwick mentioned he has ns for the evening and won''t be back for dinner."
Selene saw nothing unusual and replied, "Then tell the chef to prepare the meal."

Four unrted individuals sat at arge round table in the Pendletons'' dining room. The spacious table
seemed quite empty with only four people—there was space for four or five more between each of
them.
Esther quietly ate her meal.

Unlike Esther, who tried to blend in, Bradley asionally showed his affection for Mandy through small
gestures.
Selene remained silent during the meal, focusing solely on her food. Esther observed Selene through a
bouquet of flowers and mimicked her behavior, determined not to be influenced by Bradley and Mandy,
and thoroughly enjoyed her meal.
After finishing the meal, Mandy suggested, "Mother, we''ll be leaving now. Can we visit you tomorrow?"
Out of politeness, Selene asked, "It''ste. Why don''t you stay?"
Seemingly oblivious to Selene''s politeness, Bradley smiled and replied, "Then we''ll dly ept your
offer!"
The three women present looked at him in exasperation. Did he not grasp the courteous gesture?
"Shelly, prepare two guest rooms."
Shelly acknowledged, "Yes, Madam."
As if very familiar with Selene, Bradley asked, "Mrs. Pendleton, it''s still early. Why don''t we pass the
time with some card games?"
Esther didn''t think Selene would y cards.
Selene asked Esther, "Do you know how to y?"
Esther had no idea, so she shook her head honestly. "I don''t."
Selene raised her chin slightly. "Then let me teach you. As a Pendleton daughter-inw, you must know
how to y cards to socialize with otherdies."
The four of them went to the game room. Selene and Esther sat across from each other while Bradley
and Mandy faced each other.
Once the automatic card dealer started, Esther felt an odd sensation on her legs. She instinctively
looked at Bradley, who asked seriously, "Mrs. Pendleton, what stakes should we y with?"
"Do you know how to y, Mandy?" Selene asked.
Mandy nodded and said, "I know a bit."
"Then you should exin the rules to her!"
Mandy turned to Esther and said, "We usually y—"
"Oh..." Chadwick strolled over to Esther''s side and put his arm around her shoulder. "Esther, don''t
worry. With me as your strategist, we''re guaranteed to win!"
Jealousy flickered in Bradley''s eyes as he watched how Chadwick treated Esther. She was his, and
anyone who dared to touch her would face dire consequences!
