Chapter 486

    Chapter 486

Liliane nced at the courtroom onest time, clenching her teeth before leaving. Outside the

    courthouse, a taxi awaited her.

“Ms. Anstey, your bags are ready.” the taxi driver said.

Confused, Liliane opened an LV travel bag in the taxi’s backseat. Surprisingly, it held all her ID

    documents and bank cards.

    “Who are you?” she asked.

The taxi driver exined, “I’m just following orders, Ms. Anstey. I’ll get you safely to the airport.”

Liliane texted the mysterious man but got no response, as before.

With time before reaching the airport, she decided to watch the divorce trial between Bradley and

    Esther on her phone.

In the courtroom, rk, Esther’s witness, presented damning evidence against Bradley, including

videos of him imprisoning her. rk’s testimony heavily favored Esther, swaying the trial.

Bradley appeared cold, restrained by Jonathan’s reminders not to disrupt the trial.

Jonathan leaned over, whispering, “Mr. Warner, let’s change our strategy.”

“Go on,” Bradley’s eyes held disdain.

Jonathan continued. “Let’s shift to a custody battle. You’ve cared for Felix for five years. It’s a strong

point for us.” This content belongs to N?/velDra/ma.Org .

Bradley’s gaze fixed on Esther. He knew securing Felix’s custody would control her. “Alright.” Jonathan

sighed in relief. He had been afraid of Bradley’s resistance to divorce at such a critical

    moment.

“Your Honor, we have no objections to Mr. rk’s testimony.”

As Jonathan spoke, Tanya and Esther were surprised. They expected the legal team to vigorously

challenge rk’s testimony, but Jonathan changed his position abruptly.

“Esther, I suspect they might manipte the issue of Felix’s custody,” Tanya whispered.

“What should we do then?” Esther asked.

Esther worried about winning custody of Felix. She didn’t want Bradley to have him. If Bradley got

Felix, it would be hard for her to see him in the future. Bradley might even use Felix to threaten her.

    What should she do then?

“In matters of custody, the judge and jurors tend to consider the child’s wishes. As long as Felix

chooses you, other issues shouldn’t be too significant.”

Tanya’s words gradually eased Esther’s restless heart.

Jonathan submitted a portion of the evidence to the judge.

“Your Honor, we would like to supplement our evidence in the case of Mr. Tonks’ evidence.

“My client, a single father, has been caring for Felix for four years. When he discovered that Felix was

his son, Ms. Quill’s immediate response was to leave the country, resulting in Felix being kidnapped

and thrown into the sea. My client believed Felix had perished, leading him to take extreme measures

    by imprisoning Ms. Quill.

“Your Honor, Felix is Mr. Warner’s legitimate heir to the Warner Group, as outlined in Mr. Thomas

Warner’s will. However, after Felix’s sea incident, Ms. Quill took him abroad. I’m uncertain about her

motives, but what I wish to convey is that actions have consequences.

“Your Honor, my client is aw-abiding taxpayer, a phnthropist, and has received numerous social

des, enjoying a respected social standing. Many prominent figures havemended his

    character.

“However, he has struggled to maintainposure when ites to Felix. I believe all of Mr. Warner’s

rash actions stem from the belief that Ms. Quill’s actions caused Felix’s death. As fathers, can we

simply watch our sons leave this world without taking action?”
