Upon seeing Felix’s defense of Bradley, Esther made up her mind and decided to take the boy to the
wedding venue.
“Felix, promise Mommy that no matter what happens at the wedding venue, you’ll make sure to stay
safe.”
“Okay.” Felix nodded cutely and said, “I promise.”
Esther drove Felix from the airport to the wedding venue with no other choice. As he sat in the back
seat, Felix repeatedly dialed Bradley’s phone number, but there was no answer.
Half an hourter, Esther parked the car at the wedding venue’s parking lot. She got out of the car,
opened the back seat, and unfastened Felix’s seatbelt.
Just as she was about to enter the wedding venue, holding Felix’s hand, a group of men dressed in
ck suddenly appeared. They covered Esther and Felix’s mouths and noses with drug-soaked towels,
forcefully dragging them away from the wedding venue.
The time for the wedding had arrived.
A convoy of 10 Rolls-Royce Phantoms slowly entered the beautiful vi area. Children were happily
ying in the garden of the Ansteys’ vi. When they saw the luxurious convoy, they excitedly pped
their hands and cheered.
“The groom is here!”
“The groom hase to pick up the bride!”
“The wedding convoy is here!”
The wedding convoy slowly stopped at the entrance of the Ansteys’ vi. Bradley, dressed in an
elegant ck suit, stepped out of the car. There was no hint of joy on his icy face, and event the chest
of his suitcked the customary groom’s boutonniere.
Nevertheless, all the wedding guests knew that Bradley was Liliane’s groom. Even without the
boutonniere, there was no mistaking the groom’s identity.
The Anstey rtives approached Bradley from a distance to greet him.
“Mr. Warner, congrattions.”
“Mr. Warner, happy wedding!”
At that moment, a group of children held hands and blocked Bradley’s path.
“We’re the bride’s bodyguards. If the groom wants to pick up the bride, he must pass our test.”
The children stood in the doorway while the adults observed the scene.
Bradley cast a cold nce at the children, unable to suppress thoughts of Felix’s good behavior and
cuteness.
He took a step back.
His groomsmen, who also served as his bodyguards, stepped forward as a group, each of them gently
lifting one mischievous child and creating a clear path.
This surprised the adult onlookers!
What was Bradley thinking?
The children’s door-blocking prank could have been resolved with a simple mary token.
Why was he resorting to force to im the bride?
Watching the group of unknown children from the second-floor window, Liliane felt her anger boil within
her. Whose unruly children were these? Why were they blocking Bradley’s way?
Although Bradley had shown patience with Felix, that patience was exclusive to him and did not extend
to other children!
The bridesmaids, who were also Bradley’s female bodyguards, managed to clear a path to the bridal
chamber within a minute.
Liliane quickly nced at herself in the mirror, confirming that her makeup was wless. She took a
deep breath, sat on the bed covered with arge bridal quilt, and tucked her bridal shoes into the skirt
of her long dress. With anticipation, she quietly awaited Bradley’s entrance.
