Chapter 156
“Thene to bed early,” said Esther.
Esther had put effort into dressing up, hoping to spend time with Bradley. However, he had to attend to
work, leaving her feeling a bit disappointed. Despite her feelings, she chose not to express them.
Meanwhile, Bradley made his way to the study and opened one of the suitcases. His attention was
drawn to Esther’s diary titled “Secret Crush Diary.” Normally, he would respect her privacy and refrain
from reading it. But this time, he inexplicably decided to open it.
On the first page, Esther had written a warning in her elegant handwriting: “This is Esther’s Secret
Crush Diary, no peeking.”
Following the warning, she had sketched a simple yet fierce and cute little girl.
A faint smile yed on Bradley’s lips. Just as he was about to delve into the contents, Esther entered
the room carrying a tray.
Hastily, he concealed the diary behind him and, with forcedposure, asked, “What’s this?”
“I prepared some food for you in case you have to workte into the night. There’s coffee to keep your
awake, milk to help you sleep, cake, and some fruits,” replied Esther.
“Leave the coffee and take the milk away,” Bradley requested, not particrly fond of milk.
Esther quietly ced the tray on the desk. As she picked up the milk to remove it, she saw a familiar
diary hidden behind Bradley..
Curiosity getting the best of her, she asked, “What’s this?”
Bradley’s reaction was exaggerated as he quickly stood up, concealing the diary behind him. He
attempted to appear calm andposed. “Nothing!”
“Oh, dear…”
Esther hadn’t anticipated Bradley’s sudden movement. Their elbows identally bumped into each
other, causing the milk in the ss to spill onto her. The white dress she was wearing became soaked,
clinging to her skin and revealing the contours of her lingerie underneath, adding to the unexpected
situation.
Bradley’s nose tingled, a warm sensation coursing through it.
Unaware of the tissues’ whereabouts, Esther improvised by using her sleep dress to wipe away his
nosebleed, despite it already being damp.
“Honey, why are you having a nosebleed?” Esther asked, concerned.
rmed, Bradley couldn’t help but wonder why his heart had been behaving strangelytely, with
unexined palpitations. Now, experiencing a nosebleed when he had always been in good health, he
began to worry if he had a terminal illness.
As Esther hurriedly attended to him, Bradley’s nosebleed eventually subsided. However, Esther’s sleep
dress was nowpletely ruined, its bloodstains stark against the fabric like red plum blossoms in the
snow.
“Darling, let’s go to the hospital tomorrow for a check-up!” Esther said, her worry evident.
Bradley responded coldly, “There’s no need for the trouble.”
His mind was consumed by thoughts of the diary and his eagerness to send Esther away.
“First, go and change out of that sleep dress,” he instructed.
With a concerned expression, Esther suggested, “Then I’ll stay here with you. I promise not to make
any noise and won’t disturb your work.”
Denying Esther the chance to showcase her virtue, Bradley lifted her up and forcefully carried her back
to the dressing room.
Esther removed her sleep dress in front of Bradley and casually discarded it. As he caught sight of her
reflection in the mirror, he noticed the scars on her back. Despite them, her body ignited an
