    Ste got a call from Trevor Saun in the wee hours.


    Jaylene had an asthma attack and was rushed to the hospital; ke and Kanrara took her there.


    Ste, originally feeling very sleepy, perked up upon hearing the news. She asked softly, "How is she


    doing now?"


    Trevor replied, "She''s still in the emergency room. We just got to the hospital and haven''t seen her yet.


    You don''t need toe over. Just send a fruit basket tomorrow."


    "How can I not go?" Ste narrowed her eyes. "After all, she''s my stepsister. If I don''t go to see her


    after such a big incident, people will talk. Trevor, send me the address, I''ll be there in a while.”


    Knowing his sister''s strong-minded nature, Trevor didn''t argue. He reminded her to drive carefully and


    sent her the address.


    Before ending the call, Ste added, "Trevor, ask ke to call Dahlia. How can she, as a party


    involved, be absent from such a big event?"


    Trevor hesitated for a moment. "Ste, do you want to discuss this with Keegan? After all, it''s his


    mother."


    Ste lowered her gaze. "Trevor, Keegan knows."


    Trevor didn''t say anything further.


    As Ste came out dressed, she bumped into Keegan, who had just left the study.

    Ste exined briefly, "Jaylene went to your aunt''s ce, had a conflict with her, had an asthma


    attack, and was rushed to the hospital. I''m going to check on her."


    Keegan frowned, "Wait for me. I''ll change and take you there."


    "No need," Ste held him back, reaching out to touch the dark circles under his eyes, and whispered,


    "How can you drive in this state of exhaustion? Get some sleep; I''ll have Samuel drive me."


    Keegan wanted to say more, but Ste softly interjected, "Your mom will be there soon. Are you sure


    you want to go?"


    Keegan fell silent.


    He knew everything Dahlia had dely. She loved the Crosby family, ke, Aurora, power, and


    status. She would lower herself to beg for those she loved. It''s not that she didn''t have love; she just


    didn''t love him.


    Keegan closed his eyes, then opened them again, a sense of coldness creeping in. "I just want to


    ensure the safety of my wife and child. How can I sleep when you''re not home sote?"


    Ste hugged him, gently patting his back. "Go change, I''ll wait for you in the car."


    Dahlia was lured to the hospital by ke. He had someone call Dahlia, iming he had been in a car


    ident. Dahlia panicked and rushed over in a taxi. When she got out of the car, her hair wasn''t even


    combed. She looked nothing like her usual dignified self and was even wearing slippers.


    Keegan silently watched the panicked figure through the ss, his face devoid of any expression.


    Ste squeezed his hand and whispered, "Be good, wait for me in the car."


    Keegan smiled faintly, softly saying "Hmm," and squeezed her hand back.


    Darcie wanted to hit Kanrara, but ke took a p for her. Dahlia happened to witness this and got


    into a struggle with Darcie. As Ste stepped out of the elevator, she saw Trevor standing aside


    watching themotion, while Wenham was trying to intervene.
