    Felicity shot him a disdainful look. “That was your first love. Do you think it’s appropriate to call her a


    scoundrel?”


    “First love my foot,” Vermont gritted his teeth at the memory. “We dated for a semester in high school.


    She ran off with someone else when I interned at thepany during summer vacation. I didn’t know


    she was the bride-to- be until I arrived at the party. Those two sure are something.”
