    divorce her. I just can’t imagine how beautiful his new girlfriend is.”


    Aldor’s ears moved slightly, but he remained quiet.


    “Sigh. To be honest, I’m very fond of Mr. Kane’s ex-wife. Even though I’ve only seen her twice,


    something in how she speaks makes me sofortable. She’s not arrogant at all. She even gave me


    an orange after she asked me for directions. And her smile… oh my. It made me blush even though I’m


    a woman myself.”


    “I heard that she became an actress after divorcing Mr. Kane. She has a showing up, and I’m

    On the other side, Keegan left the conference room and picked up the call.


    As soon as it was connected, Ste immediately questioned him, “Keegan Kane, didn’t I tell you to


    keep an eye on Vermont? What is going on?”


    Keegan was confused, and he frowned. ‘What’s wrong?”


    Ste gritted her teeth and said, “Vermont has taken away my best friend!”


    “Felicity?” Keegan asked as if he still could not figure out what was happening, “What happened


    between them?”


    “Didn’t you see what Vermont posted online? He said that he’s dating Felicity!”


    Keegan was shocked. Then, he immediately checked Vermont’s ount and saw what he had posted


    half an hour ago.


    “I knew that he was up to no good, and that’s why I told you to keep an eye on him. How could you let


    this happen? I’ll probably only find out about this after they get married if I didn’t have Vermont’s


    number!”


    Keegan was surprised after looking at it too, but he recollected himself soon after. “I’ve asked him


    about it, but he explicitly told me that he and Felicity are just friends.”


    Ste sneered. “Yet she’s his girlfriend now. Vermont is always full of lies. I can’t believe that you


    actually believed him.”


    Keegan was taken aback.


    However, he tried to find excuses for his good friend anyway, “Do you think they just had too much to

    “I called Felicity, but Vermont was the one who answered. He even told me to stay out of this. Does this


    sound like a game to you?”


    Keegan remained silent for a while before he said, “Hm. Perhaps they really do like each other.”


    “Like my foot! Vermont changes his girlfriend faster than you change your clothes. I don’t have a


    problem with him messing around with other girls, but not with Felicity! Never!”


    Keegan felt a headache. “How does your opinion matter when he already made it public? Even though


    Vermont could be flirty, he’s not as irresponsible as you think. Besides, outsiders like us don’t know


    what’s really happening between them. So don’t worry about it. I’ll keep an eye out on him for you.”


    “How can I still trust you?” Ste could not help but vent her anger on Keegan after thinking that an


    unworthy man had taken away her best friend, “He’s going to eat her alive if I keep trusting you!”


    “Do you have a better idea then?”


    Clearly, Ste did not, and she was just very worried. So, she decided to just throw the problem to


    Keegan, “Get Vermont to break up with Felicity.”

    “Why not? Is that so difficult for you? You said you’d listen to everything I say, yet you just rejected me


    after I made such a simple request. How can I trust anything you say?”


    Keegan frowned. “These are two different things. Don’t mix them up. I can listen to you regarding


    things between us, but this is someone else’s rtionship. How could outsiders like us interfere?


    Please don’t be unreasonable.”
