Chapter 845
Chapter 845
Ste was taken aback.
''He''s angry because of this?'' she thought.
'' He''s clearly being a little childish.Who cares if I like this bouquet more? He''s the one who bought it,
didn''t he?"
Ste was in a good mood, so she did not want to pick a fight.
"The flowers you got me before were practical. They were good for baths and rose petal cookies," she
said tofort him.
But, Keegan was not impressed. He did not feelforted whatsoever.

Speaking of cookies, Ste suddenly remembered that Felicity had made some pastries and wanted
Keegan to try them.
Felicity really knew how to bake.
There was a time when Keegan sent a bouquet of roses to their apartment almost every day.It was a
pity to throw them away since they weren''t cheap, but Ste did not have anywhere to put the
roses. So, Felicity plucked the petals, washed them, and turned them into cookies and tarts. She even
sealed each of her creations into individual packaging to preserve them longer.
The two of them would then eat them as a snack when they were watching shows together.
Since Vermont lived across the hall, there were only a few cookies left.
Ste handed Keegan a rose custard-filled tart and said, "Here.Try it."
Keegan unwrapped the pastry and took a bite.
The pastry was light, and the rose enhanced the taste of the custard.
The tart was not too sweet and the vors burst in his mouth.
"It''s good, right?" Ste said with a smile.
"Felicity is a great baker.”
"You''re not too bad yourself," Keegan''s gaze lowered as he said that.
Ste paused before she said, You don''t have to lie."
"I mean it," Keegan emphasized.
Ste looked at him and said, "Do you think I didn''t see you throw out the lunch I made for you?"
"When did I—"
Keegan''s voice faltered, and he seemed to remember the one time he did that.He then connected it
with how Ste never cooked for him again after that.
"Is that why you stopped making lunch for me?" he asked.
Even though the incident had happened a long time ago, a lump still formed in Ste''s throat when she
thought of how her kindness was rejected.
"I''m not that ignorant. Why would I continue making lunch for you when you clearly did not like them?"
Ste lowered her gaze and said.
‘I see.."
Keegan thought that Ste was getting tired of making him lunch for work, and that was why she
stopped.
He remembered how she bought a guitar after seeing someone y it on television.
After two months of practice, the guitar was ced in the storage room.
Ste had always been one to start projects and not finish them. So, when she stopped cooking for
Keegan, he thought that it was because she had moved on to new hobbies. He never thought that it
was because of his actions.
‘Does that mean...she learned how to cook because of me..?"
This realization softened Keegan''s heart.
Ste was sad about the past.
When she looked up, she saw Keegan smiling and became annoyed.
"Am I a joke to you?" she asked unhappily.
"No."
Keegan took her hand and stroked it lightly.
"I think it''s cute," he whispered.
Ste''s eyelids twitched. She pulled her hand away and said, "Don''t you gaslight me!"
"I''m not."
Keegan put his hand over her waist and pulled her into hisp.
He then stared into her eyes and said slowly, "I only threw the lunch you made me into the garbage
once, and it wasn''t because your food tasted bad.I went to the golf course with a client that day.The car
was parked under the hot sun for the whole day. When I came home, I found that the food had gone
bad, so I decided to throw it out."
