    Ste managed to stop Albert’s suspicion of her with one sentence. “He did?”


    “Well, Keegan came homest night and told me that he had to go for drinks with Mr. Snyder to get him


    to agree. He came home when it was well past midnight. I wanted to tell you there


    and then, but I was afraid of disturbing your sleep. So, I decided to call you first thing in the morning.
