    “Officer, was the person who made the report called Mr. Kane? Keegan Kane?”


    The police officer looked at Ste in surprise. “Is he an acquaintance of yours?” he asked. Ste’s lips


    twitched, as she gritted her teeth and said, “He’s my husband!”


    “Do you have any proof?”


    “Huh? Proof? For what? To prove that he is my husband?


    This was the first time Ste felt that she was having difficultiesmunicating with the police. So, she


    stopped talking and called Keegan immediately.


    Once the line was connected, the man’s deep and mellow voice came from the other end. “What’s

    Still acting like you don’t know, huh? What an ass! Ste held back her anger and said in a cold voice,
