    After she heard that, her hope that had been rekindled faded away again. She gently asked, “So, it was


    just an isted incident?”


    The doctorforted, “It’s not certain. It’s a good sign that her eyeballs moved. But I can’t make a


    conclusion just because it happened once. After all, she had been in aa for a very long time. You


    can continue to observe her and let us know if anything happens.”


    Ste nodded, “Thank you.”


    After the doctor left, Ste sat at the side of the bed and carefully looked at her mother for a long time.


    Before she left, she gave the orderly some money. But, the orderly refused to take it. Ste said, “Just

    When Ste got back to the apartment, Felicity was still awake. She was opening her WhatsApp group,


    and the television at the side was on. It was showing a variety show called The Sound of Film and


    Television.


    “You’re back.”


    Ste grunted. She then slumped on the soft couch. Her frayed nerves were finally relieved a little.

    “She’s fine for now.” Ste sighed, “But I didn’t get to divorce him.”


    “What’s the big deal?” Felicity stuck a cherry into her mouth. “You can just reschedule.”


    Ste was not as optimistic as her. ‘When I called Keegan in the afternoon, he sounded like he thought


    I intentionally bailed on him. He even thought I was trying to y hard to get again. We didn’t get to


    divorce today. I guess it’d be hard to reschedule with him for the divorce.‘


    She had sent Keegan a message asking him if he was free tomorrow. But he did not reply to her. He


    probably just acted as though he did not see the message even if he did.


    Just when she was still thinking about how to ask him out again, Felicity suddenly said, “Anyway, the


    two boxes of white truffles are still in the fridge. When are you nning to give them to him? I’m


    worried they’d go bad.”


    That suddenly dawned on Ste. “How could I forget about this?!”


    ‘I was just thinking of an excuse to ask Keegan out. This can be my excuse. He will keep his promise to


    me, and I guess he won’t avoid me.‘


    “What the heck? The Sound of Film and Television wants to invite Be to the show.” Felicity looked


    disgusted when she looked at the news in the group, “I think the production team has gone insane. Did


    the inte forget about how she dared to sensationalize the major traffic ident?”


    The Sound of Film and Television was a very popr variety show in recent years. Due to its great


    traffic, the show was a great tform for publicity by the crews these days.

    Ste pursed her lips.


    Felicity was surprised for a moment. “Are you afraid of being on the same show as Be?”


    Ste said, “I’m not afraid of that. I just don’t like to interact with her.”


    “That’s normal. No one would like to see their husband’s mistress. But, think about it. If you get on the


    show, the one who’d be crushed is her! She always publicly says that she’s very gorgeous, right? Let’s


    show the audience what a truly beautifuldy looks like! She must be very pissed off when the show is


    broadcast! I feel so good just imagining it! This show is so popr. Who knows, a director might have
