Book 6: Chapter 27: Immortal Fu Hua, Ki Impact
“All I want to say right now is: Immortal Fu Hua, Ki Impact! I personally believe Fu Hua is the most captivating Valkyrie, hands down. Feel it, savor it. Alright, see you allter!” After saying this, Chen Heng darted through the crowd, demonstrating some of his martial arts skills in the process.
He didn’t mind showcasing his martial arts in front of ordinary people. The Spiritual Energy Resurgence in the past two years had revitalized martial arts, with martial artists bing more active.
Once out, Chen Heng immediately went to a Special Affairs Bureau member. Coincidentally, another examinee emerged from the examination hall, and the reporters’ attention shifted to him.
The reason reporters didn’t pursue Chen Heng was his proximity to the Special Affairs Bureau member. Many reporters instinctively feared these state-sanctioned ability users.
“Phew! Thanks, Uncle,” Chen Heng said, patting the Special Affairs Bureau member’s shoulder in gratitude.
“I’m only in my 20s! How am I an uncle? Also, why do you look so familiar?” The Special Affairs Bureau member next to Chen Heng was none other than Jiang Cheng.
“…Come on, you’re in your 20s, and you don’t think you’re an uncle? I find you familiar, too,” Chen Heng shot back confidently.
“Then tell me, what do you find familiar about me? Furthermore, I noticed you have some martial arts foundation, based on how you slipped out.” Jiang Cheng gave Chen Heng a once-over with a hint of scrutiny.
“Didn’t you hear me? My favorite Valkyrie is Fu Hua, so I’ve learned a move or two.”
“Who would’ve thought? You’re into such t…traditional Valkyries.”
Chen Heng could tell that Jiang Cheng wanted to say t-chested but changed his words, probably sensing an imminent threat nearby.
“Ahem! Squad Leader Jiang, I came to pick him up. If there’s nothing else, I’ll take him away,” said Cheng Lixue from beside Jiang Cheng.
Indeed, Chen Heng hade for Cheng Lixue. Otherwise, why would he bother with an uncle like Jiang Cheng?
“So, Ms. Cheng was waiting for this young man? No wonder he favors Fu Hua among all the Valkyries.”
Fu Hua was among the lesser-known Valkyries in poprity, mainly because of her limited public appearances andck of participation in public events. Raiden Mei, Durandal, and Rita had more fans.

“Senior Sister, why are you here?” Chen Heng, seated in the passenger seat, chatted with Cheng Lixue.
“I’m here on a mission, and our target is in Vast Sea City. I dropped by to visit our master, and she asked me to pick you up,” Cheng Lixue replied as she drove.
“Erm…Senior Sister, want some suggestions?” Hearing that piqued Chen Heng’s curiosity, so he immediately used his cheat to see the storyline.
“…Go on. I’m listening.” After some silence, Cheng Lixue decided to listen to what Chen Heng had to say.
Cheng Lixue had mixed feelings about her junior brother, Chen Heng. She didn’t understand why their shared master had taken on another disciple at this particr time.
Even when Chen Heng first became their master’s disciple, Cheng Lixue struggled to figure him out.
Cheng Lixue’s instincts as a swordswoman told her that this seemingly harmless junior brother, Chen Heng, posed a real danger. This feeling stemmed from when she betrayed unintentional hostility toward Chen Heng after learning that her master had epted a new disciple.
Cheng Lixue’s initial hostility toward Chen Heng was due to her distrust of her master’s judgment of potential disciples. However, she stopped being wary after observing for some time.
Their master had even emphasized to Cheng Lixue that she should listen if Chen Heng had any insights to offer when sending her to pick him up.
“Senior Sister, always remember that people can be treacherous. Don’t blindly trust everything someone tells you, even if they’re yourrades or subordinates. Always stay vignt.”
“…Just speak inly!” Cheng Lixue had grown used to her junior brother’s cryptic ramblings. However, she had to admit that taking heed of Chen Heng’s advice often saved unnecessary trouble.
On the upside, her junior brother’s guidance was always spot-on. The downside? His tendency to speak in riddles.
“To others, I would only say the heavenly secrets cannot be leaked. However, you are my senior sister. Simply put, your subordinate, the one called Monica, cannot be trusted. The target you are pursuing has kidnapped her family, so she will leak a bit of your news.”
[TL Note: Monica is likely an original character that appears only once in this novel. I can’t find any Monica of note in the <em>Honkai Impact 3rd</em> game.]
“You even know about such secrets, so why not tell me the location of my target?”
“Huh? That works? Won’t you lose the thrill of the hunt? Skipping the process and going straight to the answer is too much of a cheat.” Chen Heng looked at Cheng Lixue in shock.
“…Ensuring the safety of my subordinates is more important than any thrill.”
<em>Who would find such a situation thrilling? If he weren’t my junior brother, I’d have given him a sound thrashing by now.</em>
Although she thought that, she held back. Firstly, the information was in his hands, and secondly, she might not win if it came to a fight.
Although Cheng Lixue had acquired the Void Arts from her master and had reached the Soul Separation Realm, she couldn’t detect any threat from Chen Heng. Not even the slightest.
This very absence of threat convinced her that she might not stand a chance against her junior brother.
“Alright, alright. If you insist, I won’t hold back the information. After you send me back, have lunch at my ce first, then head to Number XX, XX Road, XX District. There, you’ll easily find the person you’re looking for. Remember, it’s best to go alone. Bringing others mightplicate things.”
