Book 4: Chapter 42: Wolffy? That Was My Childhood


    Rhodes Ind’s group had sneaked into Chernobog at nine in the morning. Finding Doctor’s location had taken less than an hour. Rescuing her and resting had taken less than an hour. However, the group had spent two hours escaping from Chernobog and another five hours traveling from Chernobog to Rhodes Ind.


    So…it was time for dinner.


    Chen Heng used hismunicator to invite Blue Poison, Exusiai, and Texas. He also called the operators who hade on this operation who were free.


    Chen Heng ended up having dinner with ten or so people. However, that was not conspicuous, as operators might gather and eat dinner at Rhodes Ind’s canteen after an operation ended.


    “Exusiai, I’m done with my work, so I n to visit Lungmen. Don’t forget our agreement.”


    Chen Heng was nning to use Exusiai as freebor. Leaving immediately after doing that would be extremely thrilling.


    “How could I forget? Rather, I’m happy you remembered.” Exusiai felt happy, as this meant she could bring Chen Heng back to Lateran after visiting Lungmen.


    “He Who Knows Fate, are you going to Lungmen?”


    “That’s right. Blue Poison, do you want toe along?”


    “This…” Blue Poison felt tempted since Lungmen was the bustling capital ofmerce. She would be lying if she said she did not.


    “What’s wrong? Is something preventing you from doing so?”


    “I’m going on a mission tomorrow, so…”


    “Thene afterpleting your mission. I will be in Lungmen for quite a while.”


    “He Who Knows Fate, He Who Knows Fate! Do you want me toe with you?” Blue Poison had not agreed yet, but Doctor had already pushed her way over. This woman still had not given up on raising Chen Heng’s Trust value.

    After Shining spoke, both Chen Heng and Nightingale looked at her.


    “After we returned, I sought Nightingale’s opinion. She decided to take the medicine you gave her yesterday. She said iplete memories mean an iplete life. I have already told her those were not pleasant memories.” Shining looked at Nightingale with pity and doting.


    “So, why do you want me to bring Nightingale to Lungmen? What about you?”


    “I guess Nightingale might be in a poor mood after recovering her memories, so I want someone to bring her out to clear her mind. I’d worry about others, so I can only leave her to you. As for me, I still have work. As a pharmaceuticalpany, Rhodes Ind’s medicinal department is the busiest. I have already taken leave for one and a half days; I can’t take any more.”

    Just like that, he failed to fish up a Blue Poison waifu, but he caught a Nightingale waifu.


    “By the way, Shining, inform me before Nightingale takes the medicine. I’ll be there for it.”


    “Right.” Chen Heng did not have to say that. Shining would have called him over, regardless. Shining was very meticulous when it came to Nightingale.

    When Chen Heng saw the new member’s name, King Wolffy, his first reaction was to check the price of roastmb in the association’s store. Then he discovered that this stuff was very cheap.


    Chen Heng was familiar with Wolffy. It was practically the spice of his childhood; he had watched that show growing up.


    [TL Note: Wolffy is from a popr Chinese children’s show called <em>Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf</em>. I personally disagree with the trantion of the title, but this is apparently the official title. The show was named after its main protagonist and antagonist, so literally tranted, its title should be Happy and Wolffy if we follow the official naming of the characters. Wolffy’s name can be tranted as Gray Great Wolf. Everyone in Wolffy’s family follows a simr naming scheme, a color plus Great Wolf. While Happy is tranted as goat, Happy’s family are actually sheep ormbs. They also follow a simr naming scheme. Happy should be Happy Lamb, for example, and all othermbs are named with a personality plus Lamb. Thembs usually embody their names, like the seven dwarfs from <em>Cindere</em>. The plot of the show usually goes with Wolffy cooking up some scheme or various inventions to capture thembs but getting thwarted in the end. Think Looney Tunes’s Wile E. Coyote and the Road Runner.
