Chapter 901
Franklin and Sylvia got into the ck Bentley directly. It was raining today, and there was a faint chill in the air, making the
atmosphere very heavy. The journey from downtown to the mountains is about two hundred kilometers by car, which would take
a long time.
Franklin immediately arranged several helicopters from SouthStar Airlines while driving and making phone calls at the same
time.
Sylvia patted his arm, "You make arrangements, I''ll drive."
The man parked the car on the side of the road and turned on emergency lights before switching seats with her.
“Are we going to SouthStar Airlines now?" she asked as she sat in the driver''s seat.
"Yes," Franklin nodded. "We''re flying over there to find James."
After speaking, he continued to make phone calls while arranging for his subordinates to prepare some emergency supplies for
rescue operations.
Not only that but he also had Jasper contact Nelson, captain of Eagle Rescue Team who has extensive rescue experience over
these years leading countless rescues as a hero of rescue operations.
Sylvia drove quickly in her Bentley through light rain like lightning bolts across miles within seconds almost blinking an eye away!
Fortunately for Franklin''s good mental state and physical fitness or else he would have thrown up long ago due to her crazy
driving style!
It was alreadyte at night; there were few vehicles or pedestrians on this road so Sylvia dared drive so boldly like this.
The sound of engine revving echoed clearly through dark rainy night.
Franklin hung up his phone call then looked sideways at Sylvia who was focused entirely on driving with white fingers gripping
tightly onto steering wheel staring straight ahead looking like martial arts master moving gracefully through water-like clouds
which made him feel pleased watching her beauty unfold before him.
Her long eyshes fluttered gently covering down like crow feathers around eyesight quivering slightly as if they were alive!
Suddenly their car stopped abruptly!
“Are we here?" He asked hoarsely; it seemed too fast!
Sylvia raised an eyebrow,"Get out."
Franklin took her hand directly towards helicopter takeoff site where it is wide open space with strong winds blowing fiercely
lifting up Sylvia''s ink-ck hair strands floating around them both.
There were five helicopters parked nearby whose propellers kept spinning loudly creating noise all around them!
Franklin led Sylvia onto one of them where Jasper sat inside wearing camouge clothes saying. "Master, everything is ready;
we can depart anytime soon!"
"Great!" Franklin eximed excitedly. "Notify everyone that we are boarding now; let''s go immediately towards Chan
Pinnacle!"
The further they flew into the mountains, the heavier the rain became.
Torrential rain poured down, washing over thend and through the entire forest. But ahead of them, the Eagle Rescue Team
had already arrived at Chan Pinnacle. They trudged along muddy mountain paths with shlights in hand, searching for those
lost hikers.
Everyone wore flimsy makeshift raincoats that were practically useless against such a deluge. Yet they pressed on as if they
didn''t feel a thing.
Nelson wiped his face and looked out into the ck night shrouding the mountains. "Let''s keep going. They''re probably deep in
these mountains.”
"Captain, if we keep going we might be in danger too," said Vice Captain as he raised his shlight to shine it deeper into those
dark and foreboding hills.
All he saw was an endless expanse of ckness stretching out before him - no light or sign of life anywhere except for that
pounding rain washing over everything like an angry wave.
The weather up here was already cold enough at night without adding this extreme difficulty to it all - temperatures plummeted
even lower under these conditions! If anyone suffered from hypothermia for too long up here... well, let''s just say things wouldn''t
end well for them.
"We have to press on," Nelson said firmly. "As long as there is even a glimmer of hope left, we must save them." He squinted his
eyes shut against another gust of wind and wrapped himself tighter in his pping coat before charging forward towards those
forbidding peaks ahead.
Meanwhile deep within one small mountain valley...
Over ten young men huddled together tightly trying to stay warm amidst this icy chill that seemed to seep right through their
bones! One boy shivered so hard he could barely open his backpack with shaking hands; desperate for something - anything-
warm inside!
But then came another fierce gust of wind howling down upon them all... The boy tried desperately to hold onto what little warmth
remained inside him but it was slipping away fast now! He tore apart everyyer until finally finding what he sought. A thin
thermal nket which would offer some protection from this biting cold outside.
He struggled mightily but finally managed to pry open its packaging only seconds before yet another powerful st mmed into
him knocking both nket and boy off bnce!
James watched helplessly as Romeo tried grabbing hold but failed miserably thanks again duergely because winds were just
too strong now...
"It''s so cold..." James muttered weakly while Romeo clung tightly onto James’ arm teeth chattering uncontrobly.
His once rosy cheeks now turned ghostly white under this relentless onught making him look almost sickly pale by
comparison; drainedpletely dry by such harsh elements battering away mercilessly at their bodies without mercy or respite
whatsoever...
James desperately reached out to pinch himself, trying to keep himself awake.
His voice was hoarse. "Hang in there, everyone. Someone wille to save us!"
This group of people had long since lost their strength and food, and all the water had been consumed.
One boy had already passed out. James struggled over to him and held him close. "Mauricio, hold on a little longer. Wake up."
"We still have to see our families again, we still have to go home! We can''t die here! We just graduated... we have so much life
ahead of us! We can''t die!" James shouted loudly into Mauricio''s ear.
“Mauricio... Mauricio..." Romeo crawled over as well and shook Mauricio''s body frantically. It would be such a waste if they died
here.
A terrible waste.
The other boys crowded around them tightly one by one but it did nothing to stop their energy from draining away along with the
temperature.
James bit his lip hard and his tongue harder in order to stay alert.
He and Romeo were the strongest ones here; if they both fell down now without being found by rescue teams...
They would die for sure.
So they couldn''t die; they absolutely couldn''t die.
During the day, the weather was fine, so they wore thin clothes, just shirts and pants, not knowing that it would get this cold at
night or that there would be rainstorms with strong winds like this.
The wind sounded like ghosts crying as though it could swallow them alive at any moment.
Romeo angrily bit down on his wrist until blood flowed from it which he then dripped onto Mauricio''s lips while James watched in
shock.
"You''re crazy!"
"This way we can stay awake while also saving Mauricio - two birds with one stone!" Romeo shouted loudly. "Are we going let
Mauricio just die before our eyes?"
Just then freezing rain began falling from above which is made up of a mixture of ice water particles that immediately freeze
upon contact with objects below 0 degrees Celsius (32 degrees Fahrenheit). This kind of weather is simply disastrous. very
scary, very bad indeed!
It looks simr in appearancepared with normal raindrops but whennding on objects below 0 degrees Celsius (32 degrees
Fahrenheit), it immediately forms a smooth transparentyer of ice which is extremely terrifying!
"I''m going to look for a nearby cave, we can''t just sit here and wait to die. The freezing rain is worse than snow," James said
anxiously. "We can''t just wait around!"
"I''ll go with you," Romeo stood up, dragging his bleeding hand. Several of theirpanions were already foaming at the mouth,
and if they stayed there any longer, they would surely die.
The group left lightly equipped with little protective gear and thin nkets as the wind roared in their ears.
Some of the thermal nkets were blown away by the wind.
Watching hispanions like this, James was anxious beyond measure. They couldn''t wait any longer.
He looked up at the dark rain curtain above him and thought. Big Brother... when will youe?
Their phones had long since run out of battery power, there was no signal here; they couldn''t even send a distress signal out.
A boy named Tyshawn looked at them worriedly and said. "What if you get lost when you leave? This whole area is mountains
and rocks. What if we encounter another mudslide?”

James nced at Romeo before turning back around again; he had no choice but to huddle together tightly with everyone else
once more.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
With deafening thunder apanying them all along their way forward into darkness came a lightning bolt that split open the
night sky above them all.
They clung together even tighter now for fear that this lightning bolt might strike toward them next.
It''s too scary!
Only those who have experienced such terrible fear could truly understand how terrifying it really is.
When will this ck night finally pass? When will dawn finally arrive?
"We can''t die... we can''t die... | haven''t even seen my sister-inw give birth yet..." James muttered while holding onto Romeo''s
hand tightly as his consciousness began to fade away from him slowly but surely now...

"They will die, everyone will die here... unable to see the sun of tomorrow."
Just as he couldn''t help but cry out in pain, another thunderp sounded, apanied by lightning that split the night sky. And
behind that lightning, Romeo saw a helicopter!
He widened his eyes and looked at the helicopter in shock!
