Chapter 825

    Chapter 825

"I just asked Darius about everyone''s preferences, so I picked the gifts and packaging ording to

their likes," Isabelle was touched by Sylvia''s support.

"Miss Deleon is thoughtful, thank you," the old Mrs. Foster finally spoke a decent sentence at this

    moment.

Camille quickly took the gift on the table, "Thank you, I didn''t expect it to be a limited edition. I must

    post it on social media."

"That''s right, these gifts on the table are unique and only one of its kind," Sylvia nodded her head.

    Her words were quite ironic.

But no one in the Foster family dared to argue with her.

Just by looking at Franklin''s dark face, they knew that arguing with Sylvia would mean trouble for them.

Franklin slightly curled his lips and expressed satisfaction with his wife who could frighten everyone as

    soon as she entered.

Darius had been trying to defend Isabelle but also show some respect to the Foster family. However,

after seeing how they bullied Isabelle due to her identity and how they changed their attitude after

Sylvia''s arrival made him feel disgusted by their behavior.

Madam Karina couldn''t be bothered with these women from the Foster family either; instead she

whispered softly, asking Bethany, "Besides horse riding and martial arts what else have you learned?"

"I also studied finance with Winter who taught us many financial knowledge. I also learned violin,

    cello... and etiquette norms... and..."

Bethany listed everything proudly; every day was filled up without any ytime.

"Finance? You''re so young yet exposed yourself in finance?" Madam Karina felt heartbroken when

hearing how hardworking her granddaughter was. "What about your cultural sses?"

"Yes! We study cultural sses every day too! English, German, French, I learn them all!"

"How can this child bear such burden?" The old Mrs. Foster couldn''t help but say, "She is so young yet

    learning so much."

However, no matter how caring she appeared towards children now, others saw it as hypocritical.

"These courses were all designed by Aunt Sylvia... I can do it! Because I want to be the best, and help

more people. I want to make many poor people no longer poor, and no longer oppressed. Aunt Sylvia

said that if I want to be that kind of person, then I have to walk a destined difficult road, ten times

or even a hundred times harder than ordinary children. But I am not afraid of hardship, and I will walk

    it."

Bethany''s big eyes were full of determination and fighting spirit.

After hearing her words, almost everyone in the living room looked ashamed as they suddenly realized

they weren''t even as good as a child.

If they had heard Bethany say these things before, they might haveughed or thought it was

impossible. But now... with Sylvia standing behind her, they inexplicably felt that Bethany would

definitely be that kind of person in the future - not because her mother was the prime minister but

because she had an extraordinary guide like Sylvia!

Darius felt proud! This was his daughter! What luck allowed her to meet Sylvia who became a beacon

    on her life path?

The butler quickly came over to speak after the atmosphere in the living room had finally eased up from

its tense state. "The old Mrs. Foster has prepared dinner; please take your seats."

At this point, old Mrs. Foster didn''t dare say anything else or adopt any haughty posture typical of

wealthy elderly women; instead she put on a kindly smile, saying, "Miss Deleon, Miss Andrews, Mr.

Maskelyne, please follow me into the dining room."

Sylvia graciously nodded, aand replied, "Thank you so much."

Franklin gently sped Sylvia''s small hand in hisrge palm, responding politely yet maintaining a

touch of aloofness, before guiding the entire group - including Darius, who tenderly held his wife''s hand

while cradling their child - towards the dining room.

Franklin, standing tall and exuding an icy demeanor, remained resolute throughout the journey towards

the dinner, concealing any hint of emotion.

But nobody dared ignore his presence.

Darius felt warm holding his wife while carrying their child; this indescribable sense satisfaction could

never be reced by anything else.

When everyone arrived at the restaurant, they saw a round table in the center of the room, filled with a

variety of delicious dishes. From king crabs to Boston lobsters and all kinds of meats and seafood,

even abalone and shark fin were served.

The air was filled with the scent of food, making everyone''s mouth water.

Just as they sat down, Seamus and Jarrett returned.

Seamus was just a college professor while Jarrett helped Darius manage hispany. Madam

Gisselle looked down on Seamus because what was so great about being an educator? Her husband

had made significant contributions to NorthWind Airlines.

In reality, Jarrett was just a vice president. The real decision-maker was Darius.

The two men rushed in and quickly took their seats after being introduced by old Mrs. Foster who

    scolded them foring back sote.

Compared to the women in the Foster family who had various thoughts on their minds, these two men

    were very straightforward.

"My car ran out of gas on my way here," Seamus chuckled lowly. "So I called my little brother to pick

    me up."

"That''s why we''rete," Jarrett raised his ss.

"Miss Deleon, hello! I''m Darius'' father; I teach at Pioneer University." Seamus smiled kindly. "If your

child has any academic problems or questionster on that she doesn''t understand well enough, you

can ask me for help; especially when ites to math - that''s my specialty."

"What are you talking about at dinner?" Madam Karina poked him but her lips curved into a smile

    showing her good mood.

She nced over at Bethany with some anticipation mixed with caution. "Bethany... do you like

    Grandpa?"

"I love studying! I want to be an academic genius!" Bethany beamed when she heard that her

    grandfather taught math.

"I will teach you math specifically then! Later I will give you some simple questions," Seamus looked

happier as he watched his granddaughter more closely while drinking another couple sses of wine.

Madam Gisselle was feeling uneasy. Seeing the Foster family all happy and cozy, with their daughter

being a female prime minister, made her feel very jealous. Why did they get all the good luck? She just

mocked and looked down on Isabelle before, but now she envied her.

Howe Darius was such good friends with Franklin and Sylvia? And how could Isabelle be best

friends with Sylvia too? It was so unfair! The more she thought about it, the more upset she became.

She nced at the sky outside and said, "It''s gettingte. Why don''t you all stay here instead of going

to a hotel?" The old Mrs. Foster nodded in agreement; after her previous behavior towards Isabelle

when she found out about her position as prime minister, she wanted to make amends.

Madam Gisselle continued, "Staying at home is always morefortable than staying in a hotel. Mr.

Maskelyne and Miss Andrews should also stay here; we have plenty of guest rooms." But Sylvia

politely declined their offer saying that they had a ce to stay in Urgford.

Franklin added that he and Sylvia had their own vi provided by MI6 so they wouldn''t trouble anyone

else for amodation. The old Mrs. Foster smiled graciously at them for declining but Darius looked

expectantly at Isabelle asking if he could share his room with her while he stayed in one of the guest

    rooms himself.

As they were not yet married andcked an official certificate to solidify their bond, it would not have

been appropriate for them to share a room in these circumstances. However, Bethany charmingly

pleaded for Darius to spend the night, her innocent eyes drawing him in. With a warm smile, he

acquiesced and agreed, captivated by her pure innocence.

Isabelle didn''t want to disappoint Bethany either so reluctantly agreed.

With the matter now settled, Darius shifted his gaze towards Franklin, his expression thoughtful. He

proposed that they promptly arrange a wedding date for him and Isabelle, as there were no longer any

obstacles in their path. After all, everyone was already aware of their rtionship status. Darius added,

"I believe we should select an auspicious day for my wedding with Isabelle."

Isabelle blushed slightly, hearing this proposal from him. "When did I agree to marry you?"

"Five years ago, I fell in love with you at first sight. You can''t escape me for the rest of your life," Darius

said as he affectionately squeezed her hand and served her some food before turning to Seamus. "I

want to invite the most renowned wedding nner in the industry, Z, to help us n our wedding. But I

heard he retired these past few years..."

"You mean that legendary wedding nner who''s known for being super talented and has been an

industry myth? But he hasn''t taken any clients recently?" June furrowed her brows. "Darius, isn''t it hard

to get him? Why don''t you find another nner?"

"But I want to give Isabelle the most beautiful and perfect wedding," Darius held onto Isabelle''s hand

tightly. "We have a child now, so this wedding holds even more special meaning."

Franklin''s eyes flickered with a strange light that was too quick for anyone else to catch.

Sylvia admitted she didn''t know much about Z; she rarely paid attention to these things until now when

it suddenly dawned on her. "I heard he only did one job for the War Department Commander-in-Chief

and never took any other clients after that."
