    The children felt safer around those familiar faces from school.

    hands-free. "Keep hollering if you never want to see your kids again!”


    Then he hung up.


    "You..." Before Charlotte could speak, she heard the dead tone repeated itself. She was losing her


    mind as the phone trembled in her hand.
