    for her,” Tyson said awkwardly.

    “Drive faster!” he ordered.


    “Got it!” The driver immediately hit the gas pedal.

    By that time, Levi and Em had passed through the gate.


    Kathleen and Desiree were next.

    Desiree turned around and eximed, “Mommy, it’s Daddy!”

    sent him to the hospital. He finally regained consciousness this morning.”


    Kathleen’s heart clenched at the news. “Is he okay?”


    “I think so.” Rory paused and asked, “Do you want to know the details? I can find them out for you.”


    Kathleen shook her head. “It’s fine. Rory, I don’t know when I’ll be going back. I’m afraid I’ll need you to

    “Of course.” Rory nodded.
