Chapter 1382 Do Not Talk While Eating

Chapter 1382 Do Not Talk While Eating

It wasn''t until Benjamin came up and asked them toe down for dinner that Arissa and the children

    stopped their chattering.

“Come on. Let''s go eat. Tonight we''re having the fish your dad caught!” she called out to the children.

“When did Dad go fishing?” Gavin looked at Benjamin in surprise, and the others were all staring at

    Benjamin, equally astonished.

“I went fishing this morning!” Benjamin responded and went over to carry Arissa downstairs.

“Where did you catch the fish?” Jasper asked curiously.

“At home!” Arissa answered her son. The little ones'' jaws dropped in surprise, and Gavin even

    muttered something under his breath.

    “Isn''t the fish inedible?”

Arissa chuckled and said to him, “It''s edible, and quite tasty too!”

The fish had very few bones, making it quite suitable for children to eat without worrying about them

    choking.

“I see! Let''s go have some food then!” Jesse pped her hands beside Arissa, seemingly excited.

Arissa gave her a humorous nce and said, “Go with your brothers!”

“Okay, Mommy. You should hurry ande too!” Jesse called out, then followed Zachary and the

    others as they ran downstairs.

“Slow down! Don''t run!” Arissa called out, craning her neck to look toward the door.

A light chuckle escaped Benjamin''s lips, and she turned her head to meet his eyes filled with

amusement. “What are youughing at?” she asked.

Benjamin raised an eyebrow, a smile ying on his lips as he asked, “The children are all old enough

to take care of themselves. There''s no need to keep such a close watch on them.”

“They are five-year-olds. You call that old enough?” Arissa retorted, giving him a sidelong nce.

Benjamin carried her to the bathroom first to freshen up. Then they went downstairs to eat.

The little ones were thrilled. Their delight was palpable when they saw the fish from their ownke

served on the dining table. They ate with great joy.

“It''s delicious, Mr. Graham. Next time, catch more fish. This isn''t enough!” Jasper''s mouth constantly

moved as he chewed, but he didn''t forget to say that to Benjamin.

Darius, Shaun and the others couldn''t help butugh.

“Don''t talk while eating. Be careful of the fish bones!” Benjamin warned him, as the boy was quite the

    chatterbox.

Jasper''s eyes crinkled in a smile as he continued to attack the te of fish with his fork.

“This would be better with some chili peppers!” Jasper''s taste was simr to Arissa''s. They both

    enjoyed spicy food.

Benjamin said in a deep voice, “Your mom had too many chili peppers at noon and she got a canker

sore because of them. No more chili peppers.”

“Arissa, does your tongue still hurt?” Shaun looked at Arissa with a hint of curiosity.

“Not anymore!” Arissa said with an awkward smile.

“Just eat less chili peppers and you''ll be fine. See, I''m absolutely fine!” Darius said with a hint of pride.

“You''re not used to chili peppers, are you? Where wee from, we eat chili peppers almost every

day. It really adds a kick!” Mary piped up with augh.

“I also love chili peppers, especially Great-grandaunt''s homemade chili!” Tim said with a smile.

Mary looked at him with a smile. Her voice was filled with affection when she said, “Then I''ll be sure to

bring back a few more bottles of it from home!”

Arissa''s eyes lit up. “Grandaunt, the homemade chili you make is really delicious. It''s good with pasta.

When youe back, bring more bottles!”

“Since you guys like it so much, we can always make some here when we run out. If we''re missing any

ingredients, just ask Edwin to go buy them!” Shaun didn''t see this as a problem at all.

“Well... It wouldn''t taste the same anymore!” Mary shook her head, exining to him, “The chili peppers

I use are only grown in our area, and even the water quality there is different. The chili peppers you can

get here are big, but theyck fragrance.”

“He doesn''t understand such things!” Arissa chuckled.

With a smile, Darius said to Mary, “Authenticity is what makes food delicious. These youngsters just

don''t understand!” He then started chatting with Edwin about whether he had already prepared the gifts

they needed to bring to Rutaceae Vige.

Arissa was also listening to their conversation, asionally interjecting to remind them of anything they

    might have missed.

The six little ones didn''t need to worry about these matters. Their gifts were already prepared, and they

    were enjoying their meal.
