Chapter 1244 I Never Thought You Would Lie

“Do you feel any difort other than the itching?” Benjamin asked Tim softly.

Tim''s breathing was rapid as he shook his head, saying, “It''s really itchy!”

Benjamin frowned before raising his voice. “Why hasn''t the medicine taken effect yet?”

The other doctors and nurses averted his gaze.

Kingsley nced at those worry faces before consoling him. “It might take a while!”

    “Useless!” Benjamin roared in anger.

Everyone in the emergency ward could only keep mum.

Shaun finally returned with the medicated ointment in a hurry. “Remove Tim''s clothes.”

The doctors and nurses stepped forward, wanting to undress Tim, but when they saw the little boy lying

in Benjamin''s arms, they hesitated to approach.

Upon noticing that, Shaun shed a faint grin. “Benjamin, do you want me to do it, or do you want to do

    it yourself?”

With a scowl, Benjamin looked at Shaun before warning him sternly. “You better treat him properly.

Look at the rashes on his body!”

“I''ll apply the medicine now. It''ll make you feel much better,” said Shaun. “Benjamin, you should put him

down so that I can apply the ointment without getting it on you.”

“Just get on with it!” snapped Benjamin, unable to tolerate any further dys.

Shaun''s mouth twitched. Not only did Benjamin appreciate his reminder, but he even raised his voice at

    him.

    “Do it right now!”

Without further dy, Shaun went up and removed Tim''s shirt.

As everyone saw the little boy covered in red rashes, their hearts tightened with worry.

“Tim, don''t scratch your body. It might break your skin!” Zachary immediately held Tim''s hand,

    preventing him from scratching.

Benjamin gently rubbed Tim''s body, firmly holding his hands.

“Zachary, sit aside for a moment and let him handle it,” Benjamin instructed Zachary, directing his stern

    gaze at Shaun.

Thetter could only pretend not to notice Benjamin''s disapproving look and began applying the

    ointment to Tim.

“Are you feeling better now?” Shaun asked Tim gently as he applied a thickyer of ointment to his

    body.

“Yeah, it cools me down a little...” Tim nodded.

“That''s good. The itchiness is gone, isn''t it?” Shaun coaxed with a smile as he continued to apply the

ointment to other allergic areas on Tim''s body.

Benjamin held Tim in his arms, not minding the ointment identally brushing against himself.

Right then, the phone in his pocket started vibrating.

While carrying Tim with one hand, he tried to fish his phone out of his pocket.

“Let me!” Zachary noticed and crouched beside Benjamin, retrieving the phone from his pocket. “It''s

    Mommy!”

Benjamin''s eyes flickered. She must have called to ask if I''d arrived.

“Put it on speaker,” Benjamin instructed.

Zachary swiped to answer the call, then held the phone close to Benjamin''s ear.

“Darling, where are you? Haven''t you arrived yet?”

Arissa grew increasingly concerned as Benjamin took longer than usual to get from the office to the

    hospital.

Benjamin hummed in response. “I''m caught in a traffic jam at the junction in front of the hospital.”

His calm and collected demeanor while telling a lie left everyone surprised.

Shaun and Kingsley exchanged amused nces while Zachary could not believe his eyes. He did not

expect his father to be such a skilled liar, leaving no trace of suspicion.

“Take your time, don''t rush. I was just checking where you were,” Arissa replied, feeling a sense of

    relief.

“Rest for a while. I''ll be there soon,” Benjamin reassured Arissa, keeping an eye on Tim to prevent any

    noises.

Tim yed along, keeping mum throughout the call.

“Okay. Got it,” Arissa responded before ending the call.

“All right. Your mommy has ended the call.” Benjamin turned to Zachary, telling him to put away the

    phone.

“I never thought you would lie too!” Zachary could not help but make fun of him.

Benjamin nced at the boy. “I just didn''t want her to worry. She has been worried all day.”

Zachary blinked in disbelief. “Mommy''s instinct is really urate!”
