Chapter 1234 The Enemies Of Benjamin
While Benjamin was worried sick about his son, Zachary had be rather close with the kidnappers.
“Hey, Zachary! How are you this good at ying cards?” asked Jason with a look of admiration in his
eyes.
“Yeah! That brain of yours sure is amazing! I can''t believe you remembered every card that was
yed!” David was so impressed that he almost asked Zachary to mentor him.
“You''re ridiculously smart for a kid, Zachary! What else do you know?” Even Abel spoke softly for fear
of scaring Zachary.
Zachary''s lips twitched as he said sarcastically, “If I were as smart as you guys say, then I wouldn''t
have been kidnapped by you guys and brought all the way here.”
The kidnappers exchanged nces and let out awkward chuckles in response.
“We didn''t have a choice, Zachary. We were just following our boss'' orders.”
“Oh, I understand thatpletely. Who is your boss, though? Why does he want to kidnap us?”
Zachary crossed his arms in a domineering manner.
The men exchanged nces once again, and Jason replied with a faint smile, “We don''t know that
either, to be honest.”
Zachary narrowed his eyes and red at them. “Stop lying to me. If you don''t feel like talking about it,
then don''t. I won''t force you guys to. There''s no reason for you guys to be worried, though. You''re still
holding me captive, so there''s nothing I can do to your boss even if I know who he is.”
The men felt even more awkward when they heard that.
Eventually, Jason couldn''t stand it anymore and said, “We only kidnapped you kids because of your
daddy! It has nothing to do with you kids.”
Zachary frowned when he heard that. So, they really are Daddy''s enemies!
“You know, we''re not close with Benjamin even though we''re his children, so he might note for us
even if you guys contact him!”
The men stared at Zachary with disbelief written all over their faces. “How is that possible? Benjamin
loves his son very much!”
“That''s probably from before we showed up. He does love his son, but it''s our eldest brother, Gavin,
whom he loves. He''s usually very fierce to us and wouldn''t even let us call him Daddy. We always call
him Mr. Graham instead. If you don''t believe me, then ask Tim when he wakes up. Ask him how we
address Benjamin, and you will see that I''m telling the truth. I have nothing to gain by lying about this,
so I have no reason to do that,” Zachary said with a serious look in his eyes.

The men were half convinced because of how persuasive Zachary made it sound. They even started
regretting not kidnapping Gavin instead.

After observing their expressions, Zachary let out a sigh when he saw that they were half-convinced.
Curious as to why Zachary looked upset all of a sudden, Jason asked, “What''s wrong?”
“As if being abandoned by our daddy wasn''t bad enough, you guys had to bring us to the middle of
nowhere! Are you guys going to kill us to vent your anger?” Zachary replied with a sniffle.
“No, we''re not!”
“Don''t worry. Our job was simply to bring you kids here! We don''t intend to hurt you kids at all!”
“Yeah! We would''ve killed you kids long ago if we wanted to. I think our boss just wants to threaten
Benjamin a little.”
They were only in charge of kidnapping the kids, so they had no idea what their boss actually wanted.
Based on what we know about our boss after many years of working for him, it''s unlikely that he wants
to hurt these kids.
Zachary rubbed his eyes and wiped his tears dry like a pitiful puppy that had been abandoned.
“Don''t botherforting me. I won''t me you guys even if you decide to kill me. However, I beg you
to spare Tim. He was taken away at birth and brought to a rural area where he had to make a living by
carrying coal down the mountain. Not only did he go hungry all the time, but he would also get beaten if
he didn''t do his job well. His life was really tragic back then. If you don''t believe me, then take a look at
Tim''s body, and you will see that it is covered in scars,” Zachary said while sobbing even harder.
