Chapter 1221 The Sales Department
“I can promise you this. I won''t transfer it to outsiders,” Arissa assured Regan.
This was not a daunting task, after all. Should York Group prosper in the future, her children could
inherit the fortune since they were considered Yorks as well. If it came to that, Regan would have
nothing to say about it.
Sensing her sincerity, Regan breathed a sigh of relief. “Remember your words!”
“Compared to you, my word is gold,” Arissa sneered derisively, her wordsced with a sharp edge.
Regan felt somewhat ashamed. “Issa, I had no other choice back then. Your stepmother would have
been even unhappier if I had been kind to you. I wish I had known how unreasonable she could be.
That way, I wouldn''t have indulged her.”
“I don''t want to hear any of this. If you have anything else to say, speak now!” Arissa''s face turned cold.
The mere thought of Heather soured her mood.
“All right...” Regan hurriedly swallowed the rest of his words when he noticed the disdained look on his
daughter''s face. He managed a tight-lipped smile and asked, “Issa, what happened to you? Why are
you still getting an injection today?”
ncing at him indifferently and not concerned with whether he truly cared or not, Arissa replied, “I''m
just pregnant. The injection is a precautionary measure.”

“You''re pregnant with Benjamin''s baby?” Regan''s face lit up with surprise and joy. He stared at Arissa''s
belly, a distinct feeling of anticipation rising in his heart.
Am I going to be a granddad now?
Although he had met Gavin and the other children, it all felt so surreal to him.
Sensing his excitement, Arissa said bluntly, “Why are you so excited? The child has nothing to do with
you and won''t call you Granddad.”
Regan''s face fell. “Issa, I''m really sorry. I have spoken in anger. I''ve raised you all these years. Do you
really think I feel nothing for you?”
Arissa chuckled dryly. Is he here to y the sentiment card today?
“Don''t y the sentiment card. We both know that''s not going to fool anyone. If you have something to
say, say it. Otherwise, leave. Don''t spoil my mood, or I can''t promise my husband won''t take action
against you.”
To stop Regan''s incessant prattling, she had no choice but to remind him of Benjamin''s presence.
“I''m just happy for you. Now that you''re pregnant, your position in the Graham family will be solidified
further,” Regan said to the cold-faced Arissa. “You''re pregnant now. Don''t lose your temper easily. It''s
not good for you or the baby. About your grandmother''s visit this morning, I apologize. I didn''t tell her
where you were, yet she managed to find you anyway. I n to send her back home. She won''t bother
you anymore.”
Arissa felt the urge to tell him that she and Benjamin already had children, six of them, in fact.
However, considering their strained rtionship, she held her tongue. There was no point in saying
those to him.
Seeing herck of interest in what he was saying, Regan hurriedly switched to business matters.
“Issa, I''ve given you all my shares. Now I have no ie. However, the family still depends entirely on
me. Can I... keep my position in thepany?”
He looked at Arissa nervously as he said so, fearing that he might lose his job as well. He was already
of advanced age, and finding another job would be even more challenging, especially given that he had
offended Benjamin.
Nopany would dare to hire him.
Arissa considered his proposition. It wouldn''t hurt to keep him in thepany. However...
“You can''t keep your current position as the general manager.”
A look of despair crossed Regan''s face. “Issa, it''s difficult to find a job at my age—”
“You may stay in thepany and keep your sry, but you''ll have to change your position,” Arissa
interjected. She already had a position that would suit him.
Regan was overjoyed that he could continue to stay in thepany. “And what position is that?”
“You''ll have to work in the sales department,” Arissa said cidly.
Regan was taken aback.
The sales department?
