Benjamin walked the officers out of the room. Before returning to the room, he ordered the bodyguard,

Arissa saw him entering the ward and said, “You should head to work. I can stay at the hospital alone.”
She felt her affairs had burdened Benjamintely, causing dys in his work.
“It''s fine. I''ll go in the afternoon.” Benjamin wanted to wait for the results of her check-up. Otherwise, he
would be restless.
Half an hourter, Shaun came to notify Arissa of a screening. He brought a wheelchair along with him
to make it easier for her to travel.
“I''ll carry you, Honey!” Benjamin thought it would be ufortable to use the wheelchair, so he picked
up Arissa, carrying her in his arms.
Shaun chuckled at the sight and quickly followed after them.
Embarrassed, Arissa lowered her head and protested quietly, “The examination room is quite far from
here.”
“You''re light as a feather,” Benjamin reassured her, dismissing her worries.
Shaun couldn''t help but burst outughing. “Arissa, it''s obvious Benjamin wants to unt his strength.
Let him be. He isn''t afraid of affecting his image, so why would you? Just let him carry you.”
“I''m carrying my wife. Why would it affect my image? Those who don''t should be the ones whose
image should be affected!”
Benjamin turned around, red at Shaun, and reprimanded, “Stop following behind us. Go ahead and
make the arrangements. Don''t make us wait for you!”
In response, Shaun scratched his nose awkwardly and felt slightly aggrieved. Then, he hurried to the
examination room.
Seeing that, Arissa chuckled.
Benjamin''s lips curled slightly as he gazed at her beautiful face.
“Why are you smiling?”
“All of them are scared of you!” Arissa''s eyes glinted as she smiled while looking at his chiseled
features.
Now, he appeared more approachable and wouldn''t put a grim face before her.
Benjamin scoffed, “They are only pretending to be scared. Lately, they are even teasing me!”
Chuckling, Arissa said softly, “That''s fine, as long as it''s nothing serious!”
“Why are you acting so shy then?” Benjamin shot her a teasing gaze and asked.
“I did not!” Arissa denied while staring at his shirt buttons.
Benjamin tittered at her reaction.
Then, Arissa raised her head to shoot him a re. “Why are youughing? You don''t believe me?”
Quirking a brow, Benjamin lowered his gaze and saw her slightly displeased. As he was afraid that she
would be angry, he quicklyforted her, “I do. I just smiled subconsciously!”
“Hmph! Is that so? I don''t see you doing that normally. Clearly, you areughing at me!” Arissa turned
her head away.
“No, I''m notughing at you. I''ll smile more often from now on. Okay?”
Benjamin tried to appease her as he regretted teasing her.
It was hard to appease her before, and it got even harder to coax her out of her sour mood now that
she was pregnant.
Arissa merely pursed her lips while ignoring him.
“We''ve arrived at the examination room. Let''s get your check-up.”
Benjamin carried her in and saw Shaun, to whom he red. “Are you ready?”
“Yes, you can put Arissa on the bed.” Shaun gestured.
Hearing that, Benjamin put Arissa on the bed gently for the ultrasound.
Sensing the strange looks Benjamin was giving him, Shaun was amused. “Do you have a problem with
me, Benjamin?”
“You''re doing the ultrasound for my wife?” Benjamin fixed his piercing gaze on him.
Only then did Shaun realize Benjamin didn''t feelfortable about the situation. Again, he was
rendered speechless and scratched his nose awkwardly.
“I''m a professional doctor. To me, there are only patients and—” Corpse...
“Don''t butt in. Get out!” Arissa was embarrassed and tried to kick Benjamin out.
“Don''t be mad, Honey! It''s bad for the baby!” Benjamin suddenly spoke in a gentle tone.
