Tom didn''t dare to make any drastic movements as he watched Miranda being held at gunpoint. He
wanted to figure out what the men in ck wanted.
"Why are you kidnapping Miranda? Are you just trying to get ransom money?" Tom asked.

The leader dered, "You have two choices. You either bring Willow to us or kill her directly. Anything
else, and Miranda right here will be dead!"
"You can''t do this, Tom! I''d rather die than have anything happen to Willow!"
Miranda didn''t want to put her friend in danger just in exchange for her own life.
"I couldn''t possibly defeat Willow''s bodyguards and kidnap her, and I wouldn''t want to send myself to
certain death either. And furthermore, I won''t do anything that would endanger my country!"
A sly grin crept up on one of the men in ck''s face. "Very patriotic, young man. But have you thought
about what would happen to Miranda over here?
