Chapter 170
Chapter 170 Be My Personal Bodyguard
Matthew was surprised to run into Willow at the hotel.
When he was working as the head of the security team at Willow’s previouspany, his mother had b
een hospitalized. Her medical bills were more than he could afford, and when he first started asking for
donations, Willow helped him.
She had given him a sum of money to use for his mother’s treatment without asking for anything in
pensation.
Later on, Matthew had to leave thepany so that he could take care of his family.
Still, he never forgot the kindness Willow had shown him. Now that she was in danger today, he immedi
ately came forward to help her.
“How dare a security guard like you interfere? Do you want to lose your job? Nichs roared
in anger when he saw that a security guard employed by his own family’s hotel hade to stop him.
Nichs‘ subordinates were unbothered by Matthew’s presence. They did not think he could stop them
.
“What are you doing? Let go of Willow at once! We’re living in awful society! If you don’t release her,
I’ll call the authorities!” Matthew yelled.
“You really don’t know what’s good for you, huh? Teach that security guard a lesson!” Nichs roared i
mpatiently. His desire to take Willow and Miranda for himself was so overwhelming that he did not want
to waste any more time on Matthew.
Nichs‘ subordinates swiftly rushed forward.
“Matthew, leave quickly! Find a way to call the authorities! Let the inspectorse and rescue us!” Will
ow cried out frantically when she saw Matthew charging over alone.
Nichs‘ men
numbered more than 20. Matthew could not go up against them. It was better to report the case to the
authorities instead.
Willow thought he was their only hope of avoiding this terrible fate.
“Don’t worry, Willow! These
thugs can’t defeat me!” Matthew dered confidently.
Willow had done him a huge favor. He could not possibly stand back and let something. horrible happe
n to her.
s, he had no time to waste. His phone was still in the security room. If he tried to call the Inspector G
eneral’s office now, by the time they arrived, it would be toote.
Plus, Matthew did not think much of Nichs‘ subordinates. He was sure he could deal with.
Willow did not expect such a show of confidence from Matthew. He was set on taking on Nichs‘ men
by himself.
This left her feeling rather exasperated. She thought Matthew was being too reckless.
Miranda was startled, too. She did not know how Willow and Matthew were acquainted. Her only conce
rn now was whether or not Matthew could truly defeat so many opponents and save
them.
In the blink of an eye, Nichs‘ men had reached Matthew.
The first to arrive immediately threw a punch at Matthew’s face.
Matthew did not back down. He swung his fist right back at his assant.
There was a loud crack, followed by a howl.
Matthew had shattered the arm of the bodyguard who attacked him, and the man was sent flying back
ward.
Willow and Miranda were stunned.
To their amazement, Matthew was indeed an adept fighter. That exined why he was confident
enough to challenge Nichs‘ men despite being outnumbered.
Willow suddenly recalled that Matthew once mentioned he was trained in martial arts.
Nichs was astonished when he saw Matthew defeating one of his men with a single punch.
When did such a formidable person join the hotel’s security team?
The rest of Nichs‘ subordinates were stupefied as well.
However, they did not retreat. Instead, they charged as a group.
In spite of the number of assants he was up against, Matthew showed no fear. He barreled
into the crowd.
Cries of agony rang out repeatedly.
None of the bodyguards could hold a candle to Matthew.
Though they were greater in number, the location limited what they could do, and they could not fully g
ang up on Matthew together.
Plus, the fight only seemed to excite Matthew. He became more and more ferocious as the fight went o
n!
Nichs watched as his men were defeated one by one. His expression slowly turned grim.
It had been a wless n. He was only one step away from getting what he wanted. Who would have
thought that such a skilled security guard would show up at the hotel?
Who was this man? Why did he not know about him?
If Nichs had known that such an expert fighter was working for the hotel, he would have hized the m
an as his personal bodyguard!
On the other hand, Willow and Miranda were thrilled to see that Matthew was gaining the upper hand in

Just moments ago, they felt nothing but despair, but Matthew’s arrival had given them hope.
Within minutes, Matthew had defeated all of Nichs‘ men.
With zing eyes, he clenched his fists and marched toward Nichs.
The bodyguards remained on the floor with pained expressions. They could not even stand up, let alone
Nichs trembled in fear as he watched Matthew approaching.
It was a familiar sight that reminded him of what happened thest time Caspian taught him a lesson.
Nichs thought he had eliminated all the possible things that could go wrong this time. He did not expe

“W–What are you doing?” Nichs asked fearfully.
“You bastard! Why are you trying to harm Willow?” Matthew questioned ferociously.
“It’s just a misunderstanding! I only wanted to escort them up to the suite,” Nichs said shakily.
“Do you take me for a fool? I saw everything you did just now! You wanted to assault Willow!” Matthew s
Knowing that Matthew would not be fooled by his lies, Nichs changed tactics. He said, ” Hey, man. Le

Furthermore, Willow had helped him out a lot in the past. He could not betray her for selfish

“Think carefully, now. Not everyone gets this chance, you know,” Nichs advised. He had a feeling tha
As long as he managed to get Matthew on his side, his n would not fail.
He could take Willow and Miranda up to the hotel suite and ravage them.
Nichs did not want to miss such a one–in–a–million opportunity.
