front of Diane and forced her to take a bite.

time talking to Edmund over dinner. So, they were shocked that he was back this early.
Diane immediately had a bad feeling when she saw the unhappy and cold expression on her father’s face.
It was obvious that Philip hadn’t reached the desired agreement with Edmund. Her eyes instantly turned red. Tears streamed

Flora hurried to her husband and asked, “Honey, why are you back so early? How did the meeting go? Were you able to reach
an agreement with Edmund?”
Philip arched his eyebrows and replied, “He said that he’s not suitable for Diane. He went on to say that being in love doesn’t
equate to marriage. That guy is an ungrateful bastard. He wasted my daughter’s youthful years knowing full well that he wasn’t
