    Luka’s heart ached when he heard that question. It turned out that she had decided to stand up for herself today without asking


    for his help.

    she looked through the peephole, her eyes met with the image of thest person she wanted to see at her doorstep. It was

    The sight of him got rid of her dizziness. She didn’t want to let him in. She stepped back, thinking of what to do next.


    “| know you are in there, Chelsea. Open up!” Edmund said after he didn’t get a response for a while.


    “Why are you here at this time? Do you have anything important to say?” Chelsea asked biting her fingernails nervously.


    “Yes,” Edmund answered quickly.


    “Okay, spill.”


    “Come on, you don’t expect me to stand here at this time and speak to you with a door to my face, do you? Let me in,” Edmund


    demanded in a displeased tone.


    His words didn’t move Chelsea at first. But on second thought, she realized that if Edmund stayed outside to speak, he would


    disturb her neighbors. She had no choice but to open the door.


    Edmund walked in and closed the door. Chelsea stepped back and folded her arms defensively. She then asked, “What do you


    have to say?”


    Staring at her seriously, he uttered, “Earlier tonight, you said that you once quit drinking because of an ident that happened


    four years ago? What exactly happened?”
