Surprise filled Chloe''s gaze as she stared at the handsome man with his arm propped on the desk.
The reason why she had gone after him was that she wanted to request the position of chief secretary.
Despite that, Artemis had already put the suggestion forward himself before she even managed to say

At that moment, Ken''s voice could be hearding from the outside. He reported, “Mr. Chantler from
the Cultural Relics Bureau is here, Mr. Luther. He says that he wants to express his gratitude for your
generosity personally.”
That made Chloe jolt in shock. She haphazardly buttoned her clothes back up.
However, the people outside did not give her the time to tidy her clothes. A series of footsteps sounded,
and a man in his forties or fifties walked in.
When Harry Chantler saw what was going on inside the room, he gave two light coughs and blurted, “It
seems that this isn''t a convenient time for you, Mr. Luther. I''ll go to the reception room first. Go on.”
Artemis smirked devilishly. Harry was the one he had been waiting for, so there was no way he was
going to let him slip away.
“We need you to sign the donation beneficiary form, Mr. Chantler. If you don''t, you might not be able to
receive the funds. I''m swamped, and I have to hold a meeting with the higher-upster. Thus, I''m not
sure if I''ll be able to make time to meet with you. If we postpone this, we might have to dy it for a few
days,” he piped up.
Harry retracted his extended leg.
He desperately needed the donation. If he were to leave at a time like that, there was no telling when
he would be able to see Artemis again.
“O-Okay, then. Let''s sign it now. I''ll do it now,” he agreed.
Artemis reached out to get the documents from his file. As he skimmed through them, he asked, “You
know Ms. West, don''t you, Mr. Chantler?”
Harry felt awkward.
He darted a nce across Chloe''s body, then quickly looked away. “Y-Yes, I do. Who doesn''t know the
daughter of the mayor? You could say I''m well-acquainted with her father.”
Hearing that, Artemis smiled and passed him the file in his hands.
Harry quickly took it and picked up a nearby pen to start filling it up.
Artemis leaned back and casually remarked, “Ms. West learned about your visit, so she specially came
to the CEO''s office to wait for you. There''s a lounge inside. Mr. Chantler, how about I lend you the
space so that you two can have fun?”

The pen in Harry''s hand dropped onto the table.
Disbelief was written all over his face as he eyed Artemis. His voice trembled as he asked, “M-Mr.
Luther, you can''t joke around like that. Chloe''s like a daughter to me. H-How could I sleep with her?”
He was direct with his words. When Chloe heard that, she was so terrified that her face turned pale.
That old man was none other than her father''s subordinate. He was a whole thirty years older than her.
Even thinking about doing the dirty deed with him made her sick in the stomach.
She began, “Mr. Luther, you—”
Artemis did not wait for her to finish. Smiling at Harry, he said, “I''m sure you can tell what''s going on
right now, Mr. Chantler. My chief secretary has already taken the initiative to make a move. What are
you afraid of? Don''t worry. I won''t say a word. You can do anything you want. If you''re worried because
I''m here, I can leave and let you have the office to yourselves for an hour. Actually, how about two
hours? Is that enough?”
