medical team hasn''te up with the right antidote yet. Please save him.”

Artemis pursed his lips before turning to shout at the doctors in the room, “You useless bunch! I can''t
believe you''ve failed to develop the right antidote until now! Why should we still hire you? Get the f*ck
out right now!”
The doctors scrambled out of the emergency room.
Once they were gone, Artemis pulled her into a tight hug. “Max took the hit for me. I was supposed to
shoot myself, but the silly boy was scared that I might die, so he let a snake bite him instead. I''m sorry.
I couldn''t protect our boy well and made him suffer in my ce.”
Although Bailey was crying, she still had a good head on her shoulders.
When she registered his words, she slowly lifted her head to stare at him. In a trembling voice, she
