Later that night, the annual Oscars event was being held at Century Square.
Bailey didn''t want to attend it, but she knew Artemis wouldn''t go without her.
As such, she had no choice but to give in and attend the event against her will.

attending it were all big shots on an international scale.

If there was one person she hated the most in the entertainment industry, it was none other than

Right as she was about to ssh it all over Rainie''s face, the cup was knocked out of her hand,
causing her to yelp in surprise.
“Come on. You''re all public figures. Please don''t do something as barbaric as sshing hot coffee on
others. There are journalists everywhere. You wouldn''t want them getting a picture of you doing this,
right, Ms. Wagner?” Bailey said as she smacked Ste''s hand aside.
Having been caught off guard, Ste lost her bnce and crashed into Rose.
Rose had yet to fully recover from her injuries after Bailey beat her up two days ago. As such, the two
of them fell to the floor, with Stending on top of Rose.
“Get off me, Ste!” Rose screamed furiously.
Ste quickly scrambled to her feet and apologized in a trembling voice, “I-I''m sorry, Ms. Rose! I didn''t
mean to! I-It was her! She pushed me into you!”
After being helped to her feet, Rose pped Ste across the face and red viciously at Bailey. “You
again? I''ll teach you a lesson—”

Bailey cut her off with a swift p on the cheek.
Rose was fuming as she rubbed her stinging cheek. “H-How dare you to hit me?”
“I couldn''t help it. You were being way too foul. It seems you haven''t learned your lesson, so I''ll keep
hitting you until you do,” Bailey replied nonchntly.
Rose was trembling all over with rage, but there was nothing she could do about it.
What am I supposed to do? The police are clearly on her side, and she is well-trained in self-defense.
Bailey raised her arm and waved it in front of Rose as she continued, “Well? Do you want to get
pped again? I''d be more than happy to give you a couple more ps, but I don''t think you''d want to
walk up the stage with your face all swollen.”

knew she couldn''t do so.

her for revenge!
With that in mind, Rose turned around and said, “Let''s go!”
The other celebrities around her exchanged nces in surprise. They thought Rose would punish
Bailey for pping her, but she ended up chickening out and walking away instead.
“Thanks for the save, Ms. Jefferson.” Rainie''s voice rang out from behind her.
Bailey slowly turned around and asked with an eyebrow arched, “You know me?”
Rainie nodded. “You are a highly respectable woman, Ms. Jefferson. I''ve admired you since I found out
about you being Anonymous. I, on the other hand, failed to live up to mypany''s expectations
despite having worked in the entertainment industry for so many years now. Not only was I unable to
repay mypany for its contributions, but I am also going to lose the Best Actress award at the
Oscars this year to Rose. To be honest, I feel incredibly useless afterparing myself to you.”
