Ken noticed the dark look on Artemis'' face and couldn''t help but ask, “What''s wrong, Boss? Are you
unable to hack into Ms. Jefferson''sputer?”
Artemis dragged his gaze away from the screen and red at Ken. “What do you think?” he returned.

Ken pped himself across the face. “I spoke without thinking. There''s no system that you can''t hack in
this world. Ms. Jefferson''s capabilities can''t rival yours. If you do it seriously, you''ll definitely leave her

little longer? It''ll be Thanksgiving in a fortnight. Your uncle will be back in Hallsbay then. I was thinking
that we could all have dinner together.”
Wendy smiled. “Oh, I''m sorry, but there''s still a lot of things we have to settle back in Moranta. We—”
Before she could finish, Lionel cut her off. “I won''t be leaving Hallsbay temporarily, Aunt Waverly. As for
lunch, I still have something to deal with, so no thanks. I''ll visit again when Uncle returns.”
Lionel rose to his feet, ready to leave.
