Chapter 86- Sudden twist
''The Trial of the Brave—for god sake, it began before it should have.'' Kyle uttered those words as he realised where the group of the five had been thrown to.
He had a feeling that this team, which was filled with three major main characters, had gathered a little earlier than they should have; as such, there was a chance for this mini-arc to show up. However, this was a little too soon.
Dumping a group of first-year students to thest floor of thebyrinth where the demons rank up to A, indeed a very messy situation.
"I need to be on alert." Heaving a sigh, K nced at the dark funnel created by several floors of the Wastnd, before covering his face with the wooden mask and jumping into the hell hole.

Logan had discerned the fact that they had ended up on a different floor. This was, by far, not the first floor of the Labyrinth. Beforeing here, he and Sasha had a thorough discussion about the monsters they might have to face. And in those names, the great orc came under the ''Nearly Impossible'' category.
The other four have also discerned the fact as well, as they surveilled their surroundings and decided to take it slow from here.
"We need to somehow get in touch with the instructor." Logan stated in a voice that could reach the others. It was really unfortunate that other than himself and Sasha the other three remain mute most of the time.
tia didn''t pay attention to him since at the moment she was utilizing her eyes to look around the ce. She could gather numerous presences in several parts of the floor, and all of them had the hue of red and ck shade.
The color of anger and intent to murder.
Since the administrator organised this activity to be performed on the first floor, it wasn''t surprising that no instructor had arrived by their side until now. Each floor was wide enough to take several long hours to search before they could reach this base floor.
In summary, they needed to survive against the monsters way above what they could face.
"Scared?" Hearing Aron''s arrogant voice, tia narrowed her eyes. She couldn''t believe this bull was knocked over like a pup just yesterday yet he still possessed such a mountain-tall ego.
She ignored him and continued to look around with her Heavenly Vision to keep herself alert.
Sasha suggested all of a sudden, "We should find a corner and wait for the instructors to arrive."
Logan smirked, "Well, if only those things let us hide, that is." Under Sasha''s widened gaze and Aron''s shocked one, a winged-demon suddenly lunged at the group with a trident in its hold.
Logan was quick on his feet as he used enhancement to boost the strength in his legs, and using Aron''s shoulder as a tform, he lunged at the predator.
The imp looking demon didn''t anticipate a human to appear from behind the big human, as such it shed its trident mindlessly.
Logan was in mid-air, so other than grabbing the weapon he couldn''t have done anything, and as a result, he was now hanging several feet above the ground with the demon inches away from his face.
"*IKHWEK!*" The demonughed before it used the left w to stab Logan''s shoulder—gauging out his flesh and drawing blood.
Logan gritted his teeth as he somehow maintained the hold on the trident. His eyes shed ominously in the dark and a newfound strength found its way into his core.
A celestial shoulder pad which glowed in a pure white shade appeared over Logan''s shoulder and healed his arm in an instant. The struggle between the human and the imp came to a standstill before Logan did what he could have never thought of.
"AAAAGHHH!" He parted his mouth wide and tore off the imp''s neck with such ferocity that the monster lost itsposure and began to il mid air.
The demon panicked and attacked Logan''s stomach with its elongated feet, throwing him away—however, much to everyone''s shock, two pairs of wings appeared behind Logan''s back and he remained levitating in front of the demon.
His eyes carried blood lust and his mind thought of nothing else than to make the inhumane disappear from existence.
Logan charged at the demon with his fist clenched, and the demon upon sensing the impending doom, began to rush away in a different direction.
"BARRIER!" The rush of aura created a long wall in front of the demon, rendering it motionless upon getting struck. And before the imp could have recovered from the crash, Logan bashed the whole four feet long demon into pulp with the momentum and brute strength.
Sasha''s barrier crumbled under such force. She released the spell and the gooey matter of the dead imp fell on her face and body—making her nauseous.
"Uueghhhh!" She vomitted.
Logan slowly came down to earth and the wings from his back disappeared like they never were part of him. His eyes no longer gave the radiance which terrorized Aron and his demeanor was back to normal.
tia couldn''t help but frown at this development. She has assessed the personal file of each student with whom she would share the ssroom, and there was nothing mentioned about Logan to this extent.
Possessing inhumane strength and having sharp battle instincts was not umon for the student who enrolled in the Academy but this...this was dangerous.
''If I have to kill him one day, I need to see all his cards when I have the chance...'' A part of her mind knew that she have to exterminate Logan one day, given how he hurt Kyle in the past and how her lover doesn''t like this punk at all. As such, tia decided to observe Logan for now.
Charlotte looked at tia with a keen interest—discerning how the Princess had a vtile mind. Initially she feared tia to bepletely devoted to Kyle, but now, seeing tia''s gaze at Logan, Charlotte felt this game to be a lot easier than she initially anticipated.

The next half an hour, the battle between a group of teenagers and several high ranked monster continued. Well, only three of them were fighting, one of them was supporting and thest one was protecting the supporter.
"Hupp!" With a suppressed grunt, Logan lifted the massive paw of the orc which was about tond over him. The ck haired closed his eyes and with all his strength, he pushed the orc off bnce—leaving the rest of the work to Charlotte, who charged at the monster with her fist clenched.
**BOOOOM**
It took a little bit of effort, but Charlotte was able to punch the orc with enough force to cave its face inward and make the beast drop on the ground.
tia was prepared for the followup as she brought her previously raised hands down, and several long and sharp ice spikes stabbed the monster into its vital spots.
"Fuuue~another D-rank dispatched." Although they made it look easy, defending against a mid-high D-rank demon, in truth it was quite taxing on everyone.
tia has quite a bit of magic left in her and the potions she carried would surely give her a refill for thrice today, but still she didn''t want to be pushed into such a corner.
Sasha looked unwell enough to fall down any moment. Aron was gravely injured because of his foolish attempt to take a D-rank head on, and Logan was exhausted as well.
The only one who didn''t show any sign of getting worn out then it was the brown haired warrior.
tia had noticed that even when attacking the demons, it never seemed Charlotte was putting all her strength.
...almost like she deemed all this nothing but farce.
"We should take a rest. I will be guarding around, so take a breath and recollect yourself." In amanding tone, Charlotte stated and walked away.
tia noted that the others listened to her words like they have already epted her as their leader.
tia took a decision right there. She could have asserted dominance saying that she was the one standing on the highestdder of the social hierarchy. Or...
"Let''s sit down for now." She chose to be wise and follow her lover''s direction.
She was acting ording to the situation.
