    Ever since the ck Dragon hatchling had transformed from a wild monster to Song Jian’s pet, it appeared to have suffered some kind of intelligence drop. The little creature would be excited at the promise of an extra chicken leg for the night, circling around Song Jian like a puppy, its tail, as deadly as a warhammer, swinging vigorously from side to side. It almost seemed like it had picked this behavior up from a local mutt.


    Apanied by the ck Dragon hatchling, Song Jian set off towards the passageway where he had originally discovered the golden chest. The filter Canaan gave him had a time limit. When Song Jian realized that the filter had lost its function, he surprisingly found that he had grown ustomed to the awful stench lingering throughout the sewer-likebyrinth.<div>


    “Human adaptation is truly terrifying!” Song Jian shook his head, took the filter off his nose and mouth, and tossed it onto the ground. The object, resembling something made of stic, quickly dissolved in front of his eyes, leaving merely a faint grey stain on the ground.


    ording to the map, Song Jian soon arrived at the tunnel where he had previously found the golden chest. The radiant chest bathed the entire corridor in a faint golden hue, yet it could not illuminate the giant spider web above them. Had Song Jian not had the intuition to nce upwards that day, he might’ve be prey for the giant spider above him by now.


    The colossal spider web, which spanned over six meters in diameter, was spun from threads as thick as fingers. Its surface shimmered with a faint grey luster, as if coated with ayer of transparent slime.


    A faint indescribable odor reached Song Jian’s nostrils. Exceptionally conspicuous amongst the putrid stench of the sewer, Song Jian quickly distinguished this unique pungency from the overwhelming odors that filled the air.


    Looking upward, he noticed elliptical silk balls resembling cocoons hanging from the spider web. They were previous preys of the ghost-fire beast, now drained of fluids, shriveled and left to dry out on the web.


    A giant scarlet spider was lying dormant in the center of the web. Its eight legs, covered in long hair, were contracted around its body. One of its legs was identally stuck in the wall of a nearby tunnel, tearing through the hard concrete as if it were merely tofu, leaving a deep crack behind.@@novelbin@@


    “Alright, Little ck, this is therge spider. Defeat it, and you’ll get an extra chicken leg tonight,” Song Jian pointed at the scarlet spider and instructed the ck Dragon hatchling.


    Roar-


    A joyful dragon’s roar erupted, jolting the slumbering spider. Its multiple eyes slowly opened, surveying its surroundings nervously.


    Whoosh-


    A gust of wind billowed, and a mouthful of fiery Dragon Breath was exhaled towards the ze beast basking on the spider web.<div>


    The ze Beast unleashed an angry roar. Its multiple eyes stared at the ck Dragon hatchling, exuding an aura of fear. However, it was not deterred as mere ordinary monsters would be in the presence of a level-seven ck Dragon hatchling, even if it exhibited a dragon’s might.


    The ze Beast opened its mouth and spewed out a mouthful of ming green venom, which collided with the Dragon Breath, causing a dull explosion.


    The two energies collided and annihted each other. The provocation appeared to tick off the ck Dragon hatchling. Spreading its wings, it let out an angry roar and lunged towards the ze Beast.


    St-


    A load of milky-white venom erupted from the ze Beast’s abdomen. In contact with air, the venom expanded around, transforming into a stench-filled that enveloped the ck Dragon hatchling.


    Captured as a white cocoon, the ck Dragon hatchling roared and fell from the air, struggling ceaselessly. The sticky fluid smeared all over the made it feel as if it was deeply mired in a swamp.


    The ze Beast slid down a thread from the web andnded on the ground with a “thump”. Its multiple eyes stared at the wriggling ck Dragon hatchling as it gradually approached it.


    Despite its apprehension, the ze Beast sensed the exceptional growth benefits it would reap by consuming this ck Dragon hatchling.


    “Its level is still too low. Otherwise, how could a mere spider web trap a Giant Dragon?” Song Jian sighed inwardly, clenching his sword and charging at the ze Beast.


    With a light step, Song Jian shot towards the Red me Beast like an arrow.


    The Red me Beast’spound eye coldly stared at Song Jian. Unconcerned, its nearest spider-leg on the left side suddenly sprung out, aiming towards Song Jian like a long spear.<div>


    Song Jian leapt into the air, allowing the Red me Beast’s spider-leg to narrowly miss him. Song Jian brandished his long sword, and a shimmering silver light burst forth from the de as he fiercely swung sideways;


    Sssst-


    The long sword cleaved through the retracting spider-leg, easily bisecting it. Milky white fluid gushed from the wound,nding on the ground, eliciting a searing, sizzling sound.


    The Red me Beast, an appendage cut off, let out a pained howl as its body shook violently in anguish. Itspound eyes shifted from the ck Dragon’s whelp to Song Jian, disying an aggressive, cruel re.


    Before it could recover from its agony, Song Jian dropped to the ground, pointed his index finger forwards, releasing a blinding silver Sword Qi that pierced violently through the head of the Red me Beast. An onught of over 300 damage points floated up from its head.


    Squeee—


    A heartrending wail was heard as the Red me Beast turned even more berserk. An invisible shockwave rushed towards Song Jian, dealing a hard blow to his body.


    A sharp pain assaulted his ears, as if a red-hot iron rod was violently stirring through his mind. He felt dizzy, as though arge stone was pressing onto his chest, even his breathing was somewhat strained.


    Song Jian could not help retreating a few steps, a mouthful of blood spurting out. Hisplexion paled rapidly, a dizziness symbol briefly shed on his status bar before disappearing immediately, it didn’t evenst for a second. Obviously, the “Thick Skin” ability was as effective as ever, silentlying into y.


    A damage figure of more than a hundred points floated above him, but Song Jian didn’t care, his body suddenly emanated a resplendent golden glow. “Immortal Sword Body, activate!”


    A surging force rushed towards his limbs, Song Jian pushed off the ground, causing pieces of concrete to burst and scatter. Appearing before the Red me Beast like an instant teleportation, he swung his long sword viciously at its head;<div>

    Leaping down from the sky, the long sword plunged into the Red me Beast’s skull. An explosive wave ripped through, causing the Red me Beast’s immense body to float off the ground.


    However, the Red me Beast only rose less than three feet off the ground before it started falling back down. Obviously, the time in the floating state was heavily influenced by the monster’s size; therger the monster, the shorter the floating period.


    Sword Silk!


    Before the Red me Beast could touch ground, three silver threads of sword silk prated the body of the Red me Beast, one of them hitting precisely into apound eye. Immediately, a thick green fluid seeped out from the eye. The abrupt intense pain drove the Red me Beast to the brink of madness.
