Louis kept repeating those sentences as he walked. His footsteps were fast. Either because he was afraid he would forget the

“Don’t ask too many questions. Do what | tell you quickly.” The person put more pressure on his back.
Like it or not, Bryanplied. He turned around slowly as he asked, What do you want?”
“What do | want? Of course to protect my boss. Now put your hands behind your waist. Don’t mess around or the bullet will go
through your head.”
Bryan sighed faintly. He did what the person ordered. However, as soon as the muzzle of the gun moved away from his back, he
turned around and hit the person until they both fell on the bed. In that instant, a shrill screech resounded.

“Barbara?” Abigail let out another sigh. “Thank God you came. Quickl call security. | found this intruder. When | tried to stop him,
he just fought back.”

Diana looked around looking for something. When her eyes locked on the suitcase, she immediately used her strength to lift it.
“Wait a minute, Grandma. Bryan is not an intruder. He is Mommy and Mrs. Connor’s nurse.” Kara quickly grabbed Diana’s arm.
“Anurse? Does it mean he’s not an intruder?” Diana opened her eyes
wider.
Abigail’s expression turned frozen. “He’s not an enemy?”
As the color on her face changed meaning, Bryan stopped pressing
her.
“Sorry.” Blinking awkwardly, Bryan nced at Kara and the others. “I thought she was an intruder. She pointed a gun at my back
while | was making the bed.”
“| thought he was setting a trap on the bed. Since | didn’t have a gun, | used my phone.”
Abigail picked her phone from the floor. There was a small crack in the top left corner of the screen, but she did not dare to
mention it. She was the one who jumped to conclusions too quickly.
Seeing how Abigail hid her face and Bryan rubbed the back of his neck, the others smiled faintly. Only Emily looked confused.
She took Barbara’s hand away from her eyes.
