unsure of his intentions. Since there were only the two of them in the hospital room at
thiste hour, she couldn’t stop him from doing as he wanted, so she simply watched
and wondered about his intentions.
After a while, Victoria heard ric’s soft voice directed at her. “You’ve always been
afraid that I would take the child away, haven’t you? Well, now it’s recorded. I, ric
Cadogan, assure you that I will never snatch your child from you.”
Victoria paused, not expecting him to address this topic so straightforwardly.
Is he trying to provide proof for me in case he goes back on his words?

She didn’t believe that he would really repeat what she said word for word; after all,
spoken words held consequences. If he truly had any intention of taking her children.
