Chapter 1877

    Chapter 1877

Grace locked herself in the bedroom and did note out for a long while.

Heinz paced in front of the door for a long while. He wanted to walk into the room tofort her. When he thought of his wife''s lonely figure and her

untouched te of food on the dining table, he felt conflicted.

He knew that Sylvia must''ve said something hurtful to Grace. Otherwise, his wife wouldn''t look so upset.

However, Heinz had no idea what Sylvia had said to upset Grace so much.

Heinz kept walking towards their bedroom door and moved to push it open. However, whenever he tried to turn the handle, he would hesitate.

He was worried that his impulsive mood would further upset Grace. She was pregnant, after all

As such, he paced back and forth outside the door for a long while.

In the end, he did not go into the bedroom.

About three hourster, the bedroom door finally opened.

Heinz was still standing at the door, nervously looking at his wife through the crack of the door.

He sighed and asked, "Have you been crying?"

Grace''s eyes were red and looked a little swollen and bloodshot. It looked like she had been crying.Content is property ? N?velDrama.Org.

When he thought of his pregnant wife crying by herself, Heinz''s heart clenched painfully in his chest. He stepped forward and hugged Grace tightly.

Grace was surprised by the sudden embrace. She did not expect to see Heinz as soon as the door was opened. His nervous expression stunned

    Grace slightly.

"Have you been standing at the door this whole time?" Grace asked. Heinz looked very tired. She thought that he must have been standing at the

    door for a long while.

Heinz reached a hand out and gently held Grace''s chin. He fixed his gaze on Grace''s face. When their eyes met, he saw that her eyes were red from

crying. He had no idea how long she had been crying by herself.

Sylvia, the one who Heinz always doted on, had been the one to make his wife cry. Heinz felt his heart ache. Both of them were the women he loved

    most in this world.

It was upsetting to see either of them looking sad.

When he saw his pregnant wife looking so dejected, he felt his heart squeeze ufortably.

He loved his wife a lot.

"Won''t you tell me why you''ve been crying inside our room?" Heinz asked his wife with aplex look in his eyes. He locked incredibly apologetic, as

if he couldn''t bear for her to look so sad

Grace tugged on his hand and shook her head slightly. "It''s not like that. I''m feeling really emotional because of my pregnancy, okay? I''m feeling extra

sensitive these days. Sylvia''s a teenager. She didn''t say anything overly hurtful. It''s honestly my fault. She found out that I went to find Mr. Trevino

behind her back. This is the first time she sounded so angry at me."

"Whatever happened, she shouldn''t have raised her voice at you. What''s more, you''re pregnant now. Sylvia''s getting ignorant, isn''t she. I think I''ve

spoiled her too much,” Heinz said indignantly.

He knew that the whole situation must have had something to do with Kendrix.

At the thought of his daughter getting angry with Grace because of Mr. Trevino, Heinz''s good perception of him started to change.

He frowned and said unhappily, "How did Sylvia find out that you went to see the teacher? It seems that Mr. Trevino isn''t as tight-lipped as he seems

He must have told Sylvia about it. Otherwise, why would she call you? Kendrix is a really meddlesome teacher."

"Don''t say that." Grace immediately shock her head and said to Heinz, "Mr. Trevino might not know about this at all. I don''t think he''s the type to

gossip. He seems to know where to draw the line. Before we know what really happened, we shouldn''t simply make guesses and specte about

    him. It''s disrespectful.”

"You''re defending him?" Heinz frowned. "I don''t agree with you. If he wasn''t the one who told Sylvia about your visit, who else would it be?"

Grace thought it was strange that Sylvia knew about this.

"Honey, let me ask you, when you went to meet Mr. Trevino, was it during ss time?" Heinz asked

Grace nodded. "Yes, it was. I didn''t tell Sylvia that I was going to her school, but the head teacher knew that I was there."

    "The head teacher?" Heinz frowned.

"Yes. At the time, Alice and I asked the head teacher to help us ask Mr. Trevino out for a meeting. but he said no. After that, the head teacher told us

Mr. Trevino''s office address so that we could go look for him ourselves.” Grace was sure that Mr. Trevino was not the type to gossip.

Heinz guided Grace back into their room. "You guys found him in his office?”

"Yes." Grace nodded again and sat down with Heinz''s help. "He was writing some notes for a case he was working on at the time. I even got to see

some of those special photos. I really admire his ability to stomach them. He didn''t even flinch when he looked at them. He is really amazing."

Heinz frowned and couldn''t help but ask, "What photos?"

Grace replied, "Oh, they were very bloody photos of dismembered bodies. What kind of photos did you think I was talking about?"

Judging by Heinz''s tone, it sounded as if he thought that the teacher had shown her inappropriate photos of himself in the office.

He nearly ruined Kendrix''s glorious image in his mind with that thought.

Hearing this, Heinz was also surprised. He took a deep breath and couldn''t help but ask, "You locked at those photos? You''re pregnant!”

    He was really worried.

Grace shook her head and said, "I wasn''t frightened by them. I was honestly more impressed with Mr. Trevino than anything.”

Heinz could only frown. He was so worried that he didn''t know what to say.

"Moreover, he''s a psychology student. I don''t think he''s someone who will gossip about others no matter what. We don''t know how Sylvia found out

about this, so let''s not jump to conclusions. We''ll find out sooner orter."

Heinz was not very optimistic. He looked at his wife and said, "I''m going to get to the bottom of this. Don''t worry, I won''t ask Sylvia about it. I will find

    another way."

"Don''t." Grace shook her head. After some crying and a few hours of self-reflection, Grace thought that she was in the wrong as well. She might''ve

    been too overprotective.

Sylvia was a teenager. As such, school was the only ce she could truly be herself.

Grace thought that her actions had somehow interfered with Sylvia''s school life. Her daughter got emotional and angry with her because of Mr.

    Trevino

He had a feeling that Sylvia probably had special feelings for Mr. Trevino. The teacher must mean something to Sylvia. Otherwise, she wouldn''t have

raised her voice at Grace over him.

Grace thought that it made sense. Since Mr. Trevino was young, handsome, cocl-looking, and a genius, it would not be a surprise that Sylvia might

    develop a crush on him.

After thinking for a short while, she came to a conclusion.

    Her daughter had grown up.

She had no choice but to ept this fact.

This was the first time that her daughter was afraid that Grace would ruin her chances with another person.

Although Sylvia''s tone had been sharp, the requests she made were not unreasonable.

After further contemtion, Grace decided that Sylvia''s requests were a given.

As such, Grace felt her anger start to dissipate. She was just feeling slightly disappointed in herself.

When she noticed the worried look Heinz was wearing, Grace smiled softly and said, "Heinz. this is the first time that Sylvia raised her voice at me."

"Why are you smiling?" Heinz looked at his wife''s smiling face in confusion.

"I''ve cried enough just now. I want to smile now.” Grace was not embarrassed to admit it. They were an old couple, so she didn''t want to hide

anything. She said bluntly, "I''ve realized a bunch of things now."

"Hold on, aren''t you upset?" Heinz was still worried. When he noticed how sad Grace looked, he was both worried and anxious.

"I''m a little disappointed.” Grace smiled. "But it will pass.”

"Don''t keep everything bottled up,” Heinz said. "l can help you share the burden if you tell me."

"Listen." Grace locked into Heinz''s eyes. "l think Sylvia may have fallen in love with someone. She''s worried that I will ruin her image in front of

others. That''s why she was so angry at me for going to her school.”

"She''s fallen in love with someone? Are you talking about Mr. Trevino?" Heinz widened his eyes in shock.

Grace could not help butugh. "Yes, I think she might have a crush on the new substitute teacher.”

"She''s only sixteen!" Heinz shook his head. "She''s still a teenager. What are you on about? I forbid her from dating at this age! She''s still a high

school student. She needs to spend more time on her studies.”

Grace nodded. "l know, but dating and crushing on someone are two different things.”

Heinz felt his mood sour and he started to get upset.

He looked at his wife and found that she did not lock conflicted at all

However, Heinz himself was extremely conflicted.

He thought that Sylvia was too young to start dating.

He would absolutely not allow it.

Heinz shook his head. "You might be overthinking the situation. That might not be the case.”

    Grace pausedtand smiled. "Heinz,
