Chapter 1853

    Chapter 1853

"No, I won''t look for anyone else," Simon shook his head immediately, "Why would I? I don''t want

anyone else but you, Marry. I''ve been an a*shole in the past, but I will no longer be like that

    anymore."

He held Marry so tightly as if he wanted to merge her into his own body.

"I swear that I will only ever love you, Marry. No one else," He shot Marry a meaningful look filled

with sincerity, "I was a d*ck, and I missed out on a lot of good things. I don''t want to miss out on any

    more, Marry."

It was also the first time Marry had heard Simon speak to her in such a sincere way.

His words touched her soul. No matter how many years had passed, Simon was the man she loved

    most.

"But there might not be any descendants of the Brown family," Marry sighed.

Men were fertile into their old age, but it wasn''t the same for women.

It was hard for women to have children after their age had caught up.

No matter how much technology progressed, nature won out in the end.

The social requirements ced on women were always the harshest.

Furthermore, Marry had done too many evil things. She was not confident that God would help her

    again.

Thus, she didn''t dare to gamble on their happiness.

Simon replied quickly, "I don''t need to have kids. If we can have one, then it''s great. If we can''t, then

    I don''t want a child."

Marry was stunned and she looked at Simon in disbelief.

Simon continued, "I know what''s best for me, and that''s you, Marry. You''re the most precious thing

in the world to me, and I''ll never do you wrong ever again. I hope you can forgive me for my past

mistakes. We''ll live our own lives from now on, and we don''t need to bother about what other people

think or say. What do you say?"

Marry was extremely shocked when she heard this, and she stared at Simon for a long time. She

truly felt that Simon had changed.

She felt like crying tears of joy.

Did Simon really think that she was the best for him?

Marry smiled and said, "I''m so happy to hear that. To be frank, I think what''s bothered me most over

the years is our rtionship. I feel like all my years in prison were worth it after hearing what you

    said."

"Marry, it was all my fault."

"No, I''m at fault too," Marry grinned wryly, "I was too stubborn and demanding. I wanted too much

from you, and I didn''t want you to miss Grace. My control over you only made you hate me more."

Now, she fully realized the mistake she''d made.

Unfortunately, it was a bit toote.

"No, I just didn''t know how to cherish you, nor did I do it sincerely," Simon exined what he felt as

    he apologized.

"I know. I don''t regret trying to break you and Grace up. If I had to do it all over again, I''d do the

    same thing again."

"I love you so much. There''s no one in this entire world who loves you more than I do."

Simon nodded deeply and agreed, "I know that. It doesn''t matter whether or not we have kids as

long as we have each other. Let''s just live our best lives from now on. Who needs children to live

    happily?"

"It''s no big deal. It''s enough as long as we can be together." "Do you really think so?" Marry looked

at Simon with uncertainty bubbling in her eyes.

Simon stared at Marry and finally nodded.

They had experienced a lot of hardship, but now they were finally together again. Perhaps they

would regret not having children, but it would be better than not having each other.

Simon lowered his head and kissed Marry.

The kiss they shared was passionate from the start, with none of the caution from earlier found in

that brief moment of contact. Simon was on the prowl, and Marry found it hard to keep up.

Marry shivered and sobered up when Simon''s hands reached into her clothes. She whispered,

"Aren''t you tired, Simon? This will wear you out."

After all, they were not as young as they were before.

Simon paused to look at Marry. His eyes were full of longing.

She was pulled into his embrace before he had any answer to her question.

Simon was not as careful as before, and he seemed to channel all of his yearning, hopelessness

    and strength into kissing Marry.

He wanted to be one with her so they would never separate ever again.

    Marry felt overwhelmed.

She couldn''t stand such excitement and arousal, and fear secretly crept into her heart.

It took some time before they both came up for air. Marry ced her hands on Simon''s chest to stop

his advances before she said, "I heard that this isn''t going to help with getting pregnant."

Simon froze, and he stared at Marry.

Marry looked back into his terrifying gaze and blinked slowly.

    Simon only chuckled.

Marry looked up at the ceiling and prayed silently, "Mom, dad, if you''re watching, please bless us

with a child so that Simon and I can have a family and live happily."

She didn''t know whether her prayers would be answered. Either way, she believed that her faith

    would be answered.

She''d lived her life in a constant state of anxiety before this.

Even though she wouldn''t be blessed with a child, she would at least try to make the best out of the

    days she had left.

Meanwhile, Heinz received some information at the Jones family household.

"Mr. Jones, Simon left you a letter before he left with Marry."

Heinz took the letter, opened it and took a look. Then, he handed it to Grace.

Grace read it and smiled with relief, "They''ve finally gotten over what happened. I hope that the two

of them can forget the past and appreciate one another."

"As they should," Heinz smiled. "They should know what''s best for them now."
