"Uncle, why do you look so annoyed?" Gary looked over at Essie, who was beside Celeste. He
asked with a smirk, "Essie, my uncle doesn''t seem to like sitting next to me. How about you sit in my
spot instead?"
Essie smiled as she heard that, "That sounds like a great idea. I don''t really like the heat, so sitting
next to an iceberg might help me."
"Hahaha!"
Everyoneughed as soon as Essie said that.
Heinz and Grace looked at each other.
Mr. Yarbrough also smiled.
Simrly, Jensen and his wife Alice also exchanged a heartyugh.
Everyone looked curiously at Zayne, waiting to see if the usually stoic man would get angry.
However, to everyone''s disappointment, Zayne had no expression on his face. He remained calm

Then, Gary stood up and pulled out a chair while Essie made her way over to him. Ever the
gentleman, Gary had Essie sit next to Zayne. It was very smooth of Gary to do this.
After giving his seat to Essie, Gary sat down between Leah and Celeste and nced at Leah.
Leah shot him a thumbs-up in secret.
All of them were in silent understanding of what they were doing.
When they had selected their seats earlier, Leah had secretly asked Gary to allow Essie to sit next
to Zayne.
"Sorry to leave Miss Lawell with you, Uncle," Gary did not forget to remind Zayne of this.
Zayne raised an eyebrow, but he did not say anything.
With that, Gary continued to tease Zayne, "Uncle, seems like you''re handling it pretty well. Make
sure you learn how to care for a girl properly so that you''re aware of what to do once you''re officially
in a rtionship."
"Mr. Yarbrough knows what to do," Essie immediately defended Zayne and spoke up, "He doesn''t
like to express his feelings. I can see that he''s not one to fall for anyone easily, but once he does,
he''s a very loyal man. He would never betray his lover."
Everyone gave Zayne astonished looks after hearing Essie''s words. They doubted that a man as
cold as he was could be so passionate.
Wouldn''t he be ruthless instead?
No one said a word as they looked at him.
Then, everyone looked at Essie sympathetically.

Zayne''s like."

Zayne raised his eyebrow and nced at Essie. He spat, "Shut up."
If she went on like this, everyone would probably think that he had something to do with Essie.
"Alright, I''ll shut up," Essie immediately nodded and chuckled, "You''re finally talking to me. I thought
you were never going to."
"I told you to shut up," Zayne''s tone was indifferent as he spoke.
Essie paused before she burst intoughter, "It''s rare for you to say so much to me."
Zayne didn''t know what to do. Essie was too excited, and she just didn''t know how to shut up.
He decided to remain silent as he picked up his utensils and shoved a piece of meat into Essie''s
mouth.
"Mmmph!"
Essie was stunned for a moment before she grinned happily.
Everyone felt that this was a silent show of affection from Zayne.
Was Essie still pursuing him, or were they already dating?

Grace and Heinz looked at each other and heaved a sigh of relief.

Heinz held his wine ss and said, "I have good news today."

"Huh, he called you dad?" Jensen was also shocked.

Gary shrugged, "Why are you talking about me? Aren''t we supposed to celebrate Uncle Zayne
finally leaving his bachelorhood behind? Why am I suddenly the center of attention?"
Grace replied, "Good things alwayse in trios. Leah''s arrival and your uncle''s graduation from
being a bachelor are both good news. Meanwhile, you calling your father dad is something that
deserves to be celebrated."
"Don''t involve me in this," Zayne spoke faintly, "Good news doesn''t necessarily have toe in
trios. A pair of good news can work too."
Ernest snickered, "Okay, uncle, we won''t talk about you. Let''s have a drink and celebrate with
Essie."
"Agreed, I think we should drink with Essie as well," Leah seconded.
Zayne frowned.
Then, everyoneughed.
"Come on, we''re a family. There''s no need to be so polite. Let''s have a toast."
The srium was very warm. The sun''s golden rays shone down upon everyone, coating
everyone''s silhouette with a glowing ring.
This was a new era for the Jones family.
Grace was a little exhausted after her meal due to her pregnancy, so Heinz helped her off so she
could get some rest.
Before she left, Grace whispered to Mr. Yarbrough.
"Dad, there''s no need to worry anymore. Essie seems like a tough girl, and she will bring a lot of joy
to Zayne. Don''t worry."
"Does Zayne sincerely want to be with her? Essie seems much younger," Mr. Yarbrough was very
worried.
