Chapter 1719

    Chapter 1719

Outside the room, Gary''s eyes narrowed. Unable to stand it any longer, he opened the door and

    went in.

He could not stand seeing Celeste get upset. Now that it seemed as if she had failed to defeat

Cindy, it had to be a crushing blow to her confidence.

Cindy was not only wicked, but also crafty.

She pretended to be crazy when she was in fact still in her right mind. Furthermore, she dared to

scorn Celeste. There was no way that Gary could put up with that.

After he opened the door, he strode into the room.

Celeste turned around and was bbergasted to see him. "You... Why are you here?"

Gary hurried to her side and looked at her with a faint smile on his lips. The adoration in his eyes

was in for all to see.

Once he was close enough, he embraced her. It was clear that he doted on her and was protective

    of her.

"Didn''t you say that you didn''t want to meet her? Why did youe here secretly?" Gary asked

    gently.

Celeste pursed her lips, feeling a little embarrassed that he had found out. She also felt sorry for not

    being able to avenge themselves.

She could not help being apologetic about it.

Seeing her expression, Gary understood what she was thinking immediately.

    "I''m sorry," Celeste said.

"Silly girl." Gary reached out a hand to caress her head.

His gaze was only focused on her, as though she was the only person in his eyes.

She would be the only one in his heart forever.

His emotions for her were overflowing, and his eyes were full of tenderness.

It was a very pure moment.

No matter what she did, he would support her unconditionally and help her clean up any messes.

He would not me her, nor would he get angry.

His affectionate gaze made Celeste feel rather embarrassed. She pouted and smiled, saying, "I

may a little silly, but my efforts weren''t all in vain. Seeing how this hateful woman ended up looking

so hideous substantiates my belief that retribution and justice do exist. In addition, I also found out

that she intentionally killed my biological mother, and she had nned to do so from the very

beginning. Henceforth, I''ll show nopassion to this woman. Everything shoulde to an end."

Gary was slightly shocked. "She admitted that she had intended to murder your mother from the

    beginning?"

He had arrivedter and did not hear their earlier conversation.

She nodded. "She admitted it. She wanted Yannie to die."

Gary narrowed his eyes, and his gaze turned cold. He looked at Cindy, who was sitting on the

    ground.

Cindy also looked up at them.

The romantic scene between the couple just now would probably have aroused envy, jealousy, and

    hatred in every woman.

When Cindy saw how Heinz''s sonvished Yannie''s daughter with adoration as though she was the

most precious person to him, Cindy could not help being consumed by jealousy.

Her face twisted as she growled angrily, "What the hell? So what if I intended to kill your mother?

    She deserved to die."

    Hearing that, Celeste gasped.

Gary patted her on the back, forting her silently.

Then, he said coldly, "She deserved to die? I wonder who''s the one who truly deserves to die."

Cindy chuckled at his antagonistic reply. "Of course it''s you guys. Both Yannie and Celeste deserve

    to die."

Gary held Celeste tightly in his arms as he looked down at Cindy. His smile was as cold and sharp

    as a de.

Smiling sardonically, he said, "You seem very confident. Are you so sure that we won''t be able to do

    anything to you?"

"It''s a fact that you can''t do anything to me." There was a smugness in Cindy''s grin.

At that moment, Alex came to the door and said, "Mr. Gary, the mirror is here."

Two bodyguards carried a full- length standing mirror into the room. It was two meters in height and

half a meter in width, and it could stand on the ground stably.

The sight of it surprised Gary and Celeste.

    They gaped at Alex.

Alex smiled and exined, "I asked someone to prepare it because I thought it mighte in

handy." "ce it in front of Cindy so that she can look into it," Gary ordered coldly. "Doesn''t she

always regard herself as a beauty and thinks she can still be as beautiful as she used to be? I think

we should disfigure that old face of hers."

    Hearing that, Cindy shuddered.

Noticing her reaction, Gary smiled faintly and looked at Alex.

Alex beamed. "My thoughts exactly, Mr. Gary. Why don''t we disfigure her face with the word

    ''b*tch''?"

Gary looked at Cindy with a smile. Noticing her ashen face, he deliberately raised his voice and

replied, "Hmm, I think that''s a good idea. Very good."

"This is a hospital. A hospital in Ennd. You can''t do this," Cindy retorted, her voice trembling. She

    was terrified.

If they really disfigured her face as they said, her life would be ruined.

She was not going to let that happen.

Alex smiled and said, "We''ve already asked to discharge her from the hospital. We''ve also told the

doctors and nurses that they shouldn''t try to interfere and that we''ll take full responsibility for

whatever happens. Mr. Gary, let me get someone to get to work on disfiguring her face."

"Yes, we should do it. This woman harmed Celeste''s biological mother, who should''ve been my

mother-inw. Naturally, we have to avenge her," Gary replied. "Tie her up first and stuff a gagged

into her mouth to prevent her from shouting. Then, carve the word onto her face and let her look at

    it."

Cindy struggled to get up and run away.

However, the mirror had already been ced before her, and the two bodyguards stepped forward

    to seize her.

A towel was stuffed into her mouth.

Cindy looked at herself in the mirror in horror. Her panic-stricken eyes coupled with her gag mouth

contorted her face and made it even uglier.

If they carved that word onto her face, she would be severely disfigured.

    She did not want that.

She cast an imploring look at Celeste.

However, Celeste merely looked at Cindy coldly.

Celeste had no pity for Cindy.

She was not a saint. There was no need for her to take the moral high ground. She did not

sympathize with Cindy at all. All she wanted was for Cindy to be punished, and the sooner the

    better.

The bodyguards tore the bedsheet into strips and tied Cindy up.

Gary said, "Take out the towel first and let us observe this woman''s ugliness. There''s no rush. I

    prefer to prolong the torture."

"Yes, sir," a bodyguard replied and pulled the towel from Cindy''s mouth.

Once she could speak, Cindy immediately said to Celeste, "Celeste, no matter what, I raised you.

You owe me a debt of gratitude."

"So what if I do?" Celeste said angrily. "I''ll just continue to carry that debt since I''ve no intention of

repaying it. You''re not worthy of that."

Garyughed and said appreciatively, "Yeah, that''s the spirit. So what if we owe her? You didn''t ask

her to raise you. She did it on her own ord, therefore she shouldn''t expect any repayment."

Pursing her lips, Celeste looked at Cindy and said coldly, "Quit holding me to some moral high

ground. You''re the least qualified person to do so. You should''ve died the moment you tried to kill

my mother. Uncle Jones and Aunt Smith have given you countless chances. Gary even sacrificed

so much blood for you. However, you don''t deserve any of it. You only deserve death."

    Someone apuded.

Alex was pping his hands in glee.

"Well said. Cindy doesn''t deserve mercy. She should''ve died a long time ago."

As Cindy looked at Celeste, she felt that she had no choice but to continue pleading. "Celeste, you

can''t do this to me. You can''t disfigure my face. What will it take for you to let me go?"

"Let you go? Will my mother in heaven agree to that? Will the blood that Gary gave you agree to

that? Do you think you''re worthy? You''re begging for mercy now, but look at what you''ve done,"

    Celeste replied.

"Let me go, Celeste. I''ll apologize to you, so just let me go."

"No way," Gary interjected, dashing Cindy''s delusional hopes. "Don''t even think about it."

Celeste suddenly stepped forward, saying, "I''ll do it. Give me the knife."

Her words startled Gary. He looked at her and said quickly, "You don''t have to. Let me do it."

"No." Celeste shook her head, her gaze resolute. "This is a score that I have to settle on my own."

Gary stared at her, feeling conflicted.

He did not want her to dirty her hands.

However, Celeste''s had a look of determination in her eyes. She had made up her mind.

She wanted to do it as a way of severing all ties with Cindy.

Hereafter, they would no longer have any sort of

    rtionship.

She was going to put an end to it herself.
