Chapter 1580
In Leah''s vi.
It was eight o''clock in the evening when Ernest came back.
Seeing him enter through the door, Leah feltpletely refreshed. There was a sh of surprise in
her eyes, as if she had meticulously pulled herself together. Her eyes sparkled withughter. "I
thought you weren''ting back tonight?"
"How can I not? I said I''d take care of you, I won''t go back on my words." Ernest smiled and walked
in.
He held tworge bags in his hands, inside was the light and healthy dinner he had ordered, and he
ced it on the dining table.
Hearing his words, Leah was a bit surprised. After inspecting him carefully, she pursed her lips and
said, "You truly live up to your promises."
Ernest nodded, "I''ve always felt like men shouldn''t make light promises, but once you make a
promise, you have to stand by it. You can''t tweak or break it. This kind of self-discipline is needed
when regarding something akin to a contract. It''s not something anyone can do."
Ernest''s words carried a hidden meaning.
Leah was a little astonished. It turned out he was the type of person who was reserved and
determined to hold on to their promises.
His sense of responsibility exined his introverted nature.
Leah was constantly surprised. "Ernest is pretty great," she thought to herself and couldn''t help but
let out augh.
Ernest smiled at her. "Are you feeling better?"
Leah wasn''t sure if he was asking about her mental or physical state, but her answer would be the
same either way. She felt so much better.
The weight that suppressed Leah''s heart was lifted, and she felt a wave of relief. She nodded
happily. "I do feel better."
"That''s good."

"Ernest, you''re a really good person. I totally agree with you, this is how people should be to each
other. Once you make a promise, you shouldn''t treat it lightly, you have to see it to the end. I feel
like I understand you so much more now."
A light shed in Ernest''s eyes, and he looked at her in awe. "Really? I''m honored."
Leah smiled and walked over. She looked at the bags on the table and asked, "What''s inside?"
"I brought you dinner. Sorry it''s a littlete. My dad was talking to me when I was about to leave, so
when I got to the takeout shop it was already dark. I hope that''s not a problem?"
Leah quickly shook her head, it didn''t bother her at all. "It seems like you haven''t eaten yet, am I
right?"
"Yeah, I haven''t eaten yet. Let''s eat together!"
"You''re still taking care of me on an empty stomach, I would say you''re the one who has it difficult.
Besides, I''m not that cranky, I don''t mind anything. I''d be a ming fireball in that case, I''m not that
kind of person," Leah said with a smile.
"Then what kind of person are you?"
"I''m beautiful, generous, and humble, you got that?"
Ernest smiled adoringly. "You''re truly amazing."
He went to wash his hands, then came back to directly arrange the take-out boxes on the table. Box
after box of takeout were set on the table with the sauces left on the side.
Leah eximed in surprise at each box that was opened by Ernest. "Wow, it looks and smells
delicious. I''m getting pretty hungry, could it be that my cold is going away?"
"Your voice is much clearer than before. It''s not too hoarse or nasally anymore but you still have to
be careful. It still takes time for you to be fully healed, there''s no need to rush." Ernestforted
her. "If you''re hungry now, then it means your body is recovering."
"I''m not in a rush, I''m just worried that you''re the one who will have to go back in a rush." She stuck
out her tongue and said, "If you''re in a hurry to go back to the UK, you can go. It''s alright, I can take
care of myself."
Ernest looked at Leah again, feeling like this girl was astounding. She didn''t want to bother him, but
she didn''t say it out directly.
Leah really did meet all his standards.
"Let''s eat quickly," said Ernest in a deep voice.
Both of them sat down and ate their mouthwatering dinner together.
Leah ate more than she did in the afternoon.
Ernest sighed and smiled when he saw her eating so much. "Looks like my cooking can''tpare
with restaurant food, you''re eating so much more right now."
Leah immediately shook his head and exined, "No, it''s not like that, Ernest. Your cooking is really
good, your food was one of the best I''ve ever eaten, but I wasn''t feeling so well in the afternoon.
If you cook for me tomorrow morning, I''ll definitely eat a lot."
Ernestughed. He wasn''t serious about it. He said, "I was just joking with you. Look at your
distressed face, it''s all red."
Leah''s face bloomed in a blush. She looked at Ernest in embarrassment and said, "I was worried
you might have gotten angry."
"I''m not that snappy," he said, looking at Leah''s nervous blushing face, a little touched. "To be
honest, I think the takeout is good too, it''s much better than what I cooked."
"Those weren''t empty praises, I was telling the truth." Leah was afraid he wouldn''t believe her and
exined again. "The feelings that are put into something are more important than anything else."
Hearing what she said, Ernest was a little surprised. Then, his eyes shed with a glimmer of
radiance as he stared deeply at Leah.
He smiled. The atmosphere was cozy as if they were old friends who had known each other for
many years. asionally, they would nce at each other and see the hidden waves of emotions
in their eyes. They would blush a little, but no one would say anything.
The mood was like a thin sheet of ss, no one wanted to break it.
However, Leah felt like she learned a lot about Ernest from their previous conversation. She felt like
he was an extremely responsible person.
She came to see how he was the type of guy who wouldn''t recklessly fall in love with girls, and it
made her respect him even more, there was no resentment from her.
For most girls, a responsible man was very important.
If she found an irresponsible guy who gave her a heedless confession, then she would be in a
heedless rtionship, but it would also end in a heedless breakup.
Would that be the meaning of love?
Her cold wasn''t as intense as before, so she wasn''t as drowsy. Although she still felt a littlezy, she
clearly felt much better.
"How about watching a movie together?" Leah asked Ernest, feeling bored.
After a moment of thought, he said, "Sure, it''s up to you."
"Don''t just aimlessly go with what I say, at least give me a few pointers of what you might want?"
Leah said with a smile.
Ernest pondered for a moment and said, "I prefer horror movies, but I like thrillers too." "Horror
movies! Ah, what a coincidence, I like horror movies too!" Leah burst in excitement at the feeling of
finding a fellow horror movie lover.
Ernest was speechless yet again.
He shook his head and looked at Leah with a smile. "Do you also like horror movies?"
"Absolutely, I love watching them because it always calms me down quickly," Leah smiled and said.
"It might be scary, but it''s also super intriguing, it clears up my mind."
Ernestughed again and said, "I didn''t expect you to be a horror movie lover too. I feel the same
way when I watch them. It''s easy to calm down when you also have to think rationally."
"Exactly, that''s precisely how I feel! Let''s find a terrifying one to watch." Leah beamed.
Ernest nodded. "You go look for one, I''m going to change."
This time, Ernest took a shower and changed into his pajamas instead of regr clothes. He felt
much cleaner after changing.
He quickly put on his silk pajamas, which looked very luxurious and snug. Seeing him like this, Leah
couldn''t help but sigh at Mr. Jones'' standard of living.
Leah sat cross-legged on the bed and patted on the seat beside her. She said to Ernest, "Let''s sit
on the bed, it''s warm."
Ernest had no objections and nodded swiftly.
Leah ced herptop on the shelf and said, "I need to turn off the lights so we can get that horror
movie atmosphere. Is that okay?"
"Sure, it''s up to you." Ernest had noints.
Leah went to turn off the light, and the vibes were set in an instant.
Ernest blinked and looked at Leah, who was smiling as she sighed. This girl was indeed different
from the rest.
