Heinz shrugged his shoulders and said, "You wouldn''t have listened to me like how you do now if I
were to tell you. You always act like you''re so smart and much better than me. Would you even
bother to listen to my advice and nonsense?"

look at what happened in the end?"

In the night, the two men were bickering with each other, but none of them was pissed. They

"Gary, when will you be willing to call me Dad?" Heinz was persistent and continued to press on.
Gary frowned. "Why are you still bringing this up? Didn''t I tell you to wait?"
"The problem is that I''ve waited for so many years." Heinz thought that he had a good temper.

stairs, but he stopped and reminded Heinz, "Go back early and keep Mommypany. She''s very

your mistakes?"
When Gary went downstairs, Heinz hurriedly followed suit.
Back in the room, he saw Grace, who was wearing a cotton sleeping robe. She was wide awake,
leaning against the headboard.
When he entered the room, Grace nced at him and directly questioned, "You''re finally willing to
return to our room? Have you had fresh enough air?"
"Yes." Heinz smiled sheepishly.
She asked, "What did Gary tell you when both of you were upstairs?"
Heinz lifted his eyebrows in surprise. "How do you know that I was upstairs with Gary?"
He didn''t notice anyone else in the corridor.
Grace had an inscrutable look on her face.
Heinz frowned. In an instant, something shed across his mind. "Was it Sylvia?"
Apart from Sylvia, Heinz couldn''t think of anyone who was nosy and smart enough to tell Grace
about their conversation without him noticing.
"You''re right. It was indeed Sylvia who told me about it. She said that you and Gary went up to the
rooftop together, and both of you had a great time bickering with each other," Grace answered.
Heinz was at a loss for words as he looked at his wife in surprise and snorted. "Sylvia has the
potential to be a spy because of her hiding skills. Gary and I didn''t notice her at all when she
was eavesdropping."
There was no sound at all in the corridor when they went back downstairs. Sylvia had silently
eavesdropped on Heinz and Gary''s conversation.
She was too skillful.
Grace rolled her eyes and said, "You don''t say. She''s much smarter than her brothers."
Heinz smiled and said proudly, "Of course. See who''s the one who coddled her."
Grace shot him a look of disgust. "How shameless of you!"
Heinz replied, "I''m quite thick- skinned, but I''m indeed proud. However, Honey, you''re the best. You
gave birth to such a smart and beautiful daughter. Others are all envious of me."
"Yeah right, others are all so envious of you. Your eldest son still has another family name and
refuses to call you Dad," Grace scorned.
Shots were fired. Heinz slumped onto the bed and buried his head in his wife''s neck.
Grace pushed him away. "Go away. You can sleep alone tonight. Stoping up so close, you''re a
grown-up, for God''s sake!"

"Honey, all we have is your father and Old Master Carter left," Heinz said.

them back."

Grace added, "Why don''t we bring Old Master Carter over to live with us? It''s more convenient for
us to take care of him. Plus, the more, the merrier."

"Honey, is Celeste really the one for Gary?" Heinz looked at Grace seriously and asked in a serious
manner.

She asked, "What do you mean by that?"
