Chapter 1476
After opening the front door, Leah looked up and was surprised when she saw the small potted
nt in his hand. "Wow, it is Echeveria derenbergii!"
Ernest was stunned and frowned. "What?"
Leah let him in with a smile and said, "That sulent in your hand is called the Echeveria
derenbergii. It suitable to be grown into a bush, but not to be grown till it''s too big. It looks really cute
when you have a bunch of them growing together."
The corner of Ernest''s lips twitched upwards upon something that she said, and it made him blush.
He thought he was probably out of his mind for overthinking abou tit.
Leah was ecstatic, as if she was intrigued by the potted sulent in his hands.
"Ernest, why do you have this?"
"It''s for you," he said quickly, not sparing Leah a nce.
Leah was surprised and gazed at Ernest instinctively when he all but shoved the potted sulent
into her hands. He then took a seat on the sofa on his own.
Strangely enough, there was a gentle blush across his face.
Leah was somewhat ttered. "What made you decide to buy an Echeveria derenbergii?"
Hearing her question, Ernest knitted his brows. After a long while, he answered, "I just saw this
sulent for sale on the way here. I thought it was cute, so I bought it for you."
At the time, he indeed thought the sulent looked delightfully adorable. It was small and bunched
up just like the cheeks of a baby, so he couldn''t help but to buy it.
It was also because he was bound for Ennd very soon, so he felt like giving Leah a potted
sulent as a memento.
However, Ernest didn''t expect that the sulent was called Echeveria derenbergii. The more he
thought about it, the more he couldn''t hold back his blush.
Evidently, Leah did not realize that he would have those thoughts running through his head, and
when she saw him acting a little sheepishly, she couldn''t help but to ask, "Ernest, why did you give
me a potted sulent? Also, why are you blushing?"
The question made him feel even more awkward.
Ernest was taken aback and felt slightly embarrassed, but he was good at managing his emotions,
so he soonposed himself. He said, "I''m not blushing. You must be overthinking."
"Am I overthinking it?" Leah looked at him subconsciously. His eyes had a look of surprise, but
Ernest did not avoid her gaze and just looked at her with a courteous demeanor.
Leah felt like she might really have been overthinking a little.
She smiled graciously and said, "Well, I do tend to overthink, but really, thank you. I actually really
like this type of sulents, and I''ve even been caring for some myself on the balcony. Do you want
to take a look?"
Ernest really didn''t expect Leah to be an ardent caretaker of sulents. He just thought the nts
looked cute, and owning them would be fun.
"Do you keep them?"
"Yeah,e take a look." Leah waved him over. "I was just looking at the sulents on my balcony
just as you arrived."
As she spoke, she brought the potted sulent into her bedroom and waved at Ernest again,
gesturing him to go over and have a look at them together.
Ernest hesitated for a moment, but still went over. It was just that they would need to walk past her
bedroom first before they could get to the balcony.
The balcony was very small, and it was connected to the bedroom.
Theyout of Leah''s bedroom was very simple, just like a girl''s bedroom. There was a queen sized
bed with a pillow and a doll on top of it.

The quilt was left unfolded, but it was stretched out on the bed, and it looked rather neat.
Her room was fundamentally clean, with nothing scattered on the desk. Everything was prim and
orderly.
She was indeed aw student. What an organized girl. Ernest thought.
They made their way through the bedroom and he followed her to the balcony. He saw a small
round table on the balcony which had a teacup ced on it, along with two chairs beside it. On the
other side was a high counter with more than a dozen pots of cute sulents in different sizes.
Leah ced her newly received potted Echeveria derenbergii on the counter and aligned it next to
the rest of her collection. She then turned to Ernest and said, "How fitting, I just so happen to not
own an Echeveria derenbergii. Do you know how many types of sulents there are? I''ll tell you
about them."
Ernest saw plenty of sulents in small pots. They all look different and unique, and every one of
them was cute and lovely.
"This species is also really cute, kind of like the Echeveria derenbergii, but it''s actually a
Chihuahuaensis and it''s really adorable, don''t you think so?"
"It''s very adorable." Ernest nodded in agreement. The Chihuahuaensis was tender with a mix of red
and green, and it created afortable sight.
"This is called the Aeonium decorum. It''s leaves are green with red outlines. Don''t you find it pretty?
It''s also a part of the Crassceae family."
"Did you do your research on these sulents?" Ernest was astonished.
"Not really, but i bought some because I like it. Then, I got to understand it better after that. My
balcony doesn''t get much sunlight. You need to ce sulents in areas with sufficient sunlight.
Otherwise, it won''t be able to bask in their beautiful colors."
"Oh, I see." Ernest nodded in sudden acknowledgement.
"Look at this one, it''s even cuter. The smaller one is called Aeonium sedifolius. Super tiny, right?
This one over here is the Crass Obliqua''Gollum, also known as the fortune nt. This one has
red and purple colors in its leaves. It''s beautiful, isn''t it? It''s called the First Love."
"First love?" Ernest eximed in surprise.
"Isn''t such a cute name?" Leah introduced her pots of sulents with eloquence.
Staring at her bright and sunny face, Ernest smiled and listened attentively.
"Oh, no, we''re going to bete." She checked the time on her cell phone and said, "It''s almost 12
o''clock."
Ernest looked at his watch and also realized that it was really about time. "I think we''ll be there on
time. I have a feeling Liam and Maria won''t be that early."
"Well, I should change into my outfit now. Make yourselffortable."
Ernest was stunned and said cordially, "I''ll be at the living room."
He hurriedly left the balcony, walked through her bedroom, and politely closed the door behind him
when he walked to the living room.
Looking at his back, Leah paused for a moment, then shook her head and giggled. She went back
into her room and picked out some clothes from her closet to put on.
Five minutester, she opened the door.
Ernest was sitting on the sofa with a calm and restrained expression, but his eyes flitted up towards
Leah the instant she opened the door.
At that moment, Leah felt a little shy.
She was wearing a new dress that day which she bought recently.
The dress was from a premium brand, well tailored, and was made with exceptional material. After
putting it on, the dress was cinched at the waist, and it revealed her sharp corbones and slender
neck, whichplimented her tall and slender figure.
When Ernest looked up, he was tongue-tied, and there was an awestricken sh in his eyes.
"It''s a new dress that I bought, how does it look?" Leah asked him with a smile.
Of course, she was asking the question on purpose.
Ernest instantly snapped out of his trance and nodded with a smile. "It''s great. It looks beautiful."
His response was an answer to Leah''s question on her dress, but his words were directed to the girl
in front of his eyes.
Leah blinked her eyes, grabbed a mini bag and said to Ernest, "Let''s go."
"Okay." Ernest stood up and walked to the door with Leah. She suddenly tensed up when she was
near the shroud of his body.
However, she didn''t dare show it.
In order to hide her jitters, she tried to force a smile to conceal her nervousness.
Yet, when she breathed in the minty scent of his body, she could not stop herself from feeling
abashed.
She was afraid he would be able to read her thoughts.
Leah was ready to just walk away the moment she stepped out the door.
Ernest frowned. He looked back at her door and asked, "Do you not lock your doors?"
Leah was taken aback. Sheughed and eximed, "I forgot."
She took out the key, inserted it into the keyhole, and twisted it twice. When she heard the click of
the lock, she said, "Done."
"Even if you live on campus, you still have to remember to lock your doors. It is too dangerous for a
girl living alone and not lock her door." Ernest urged sternly, "That''s especially at night. Please
remember to lock your doors from inside."
Leah nodded and couldn''t help smiling at how cute and sweet it was of him to be so concerned and
to remind her of it.
"Okay, I get it, thank you for reminding," Leah smiled and said. "There are surveince cameras
downstairs, so it''s still pretty safe in our campus."
"Don''t ever think that you are the lucky one who wouldn''t get into troubles." Ernest looked at Leah
with a sterner frown. "You really have to be careful next time."
Seeing how serious he was about the topic, Leah once again said, "All right, I''ll remember to stay
safe."
Without saying another word, he turned around and went downstairs.
Leah looked at the figure of his back. She raised an eyebrow and asked behind him, "By the way,
have you and Maria confirmed the date of the flight? When are you leaving?"
"We''ll be flying out at 10 o''clock tomorrow night," said Ernest.
"Tomorrow night?" Leah was shocked. "So soon?"
Ernest had already reached the corner of the stairs and could see Leah from there. He looked at
her and said, "School''s about to start. Isn''t your school starting soon too?" "Yeah, it''s starting right
away," Leah said, "Is it possible to arrive in Ennd in one night?" "It''s possible." He nodded.
Leah thought for a moment and said, "When I have time, I wille to Ennd, and I''ll go look for
Maria."
Ernest stared at her and said, "Why note look for me?"
