Even though Liam didn''t want to admit it, he had to admit that his life was brighter with Maria in it.

"Maria, I really regret what I did. I was horrible to you back in Ennd, and yet you''re still so good to
me. Why are you so foolish?"

Hence, Liam felt incredibly rxed. He felt lucky to be able to call himself Maria''s boyfriend.
He was finally able to stand by her side without feeling like an outsider.

"I miss you too." The corners of his mouth raised upwards. "But I''d feel bad if my girlfriend keeps
coming to see me in the middle of the night."
"Fine..." Maria nodded as she looked at his handsome face. Then, she blushed at thought of being
his girlfriend.
"Don''t stay up toote. Well be able to see each other tomorrow morning. You can sleep in a while
longer as I have to pick Ernest up first." Liam wanted her to rest a little more as he had worn her out
over thest few days. "Oh yeah, have you called them?"
"Not yet. I''ll call them now and ask Ernest to contact you after we''ve confirmed the details, okay?"
"Okay." Liam''s eyes were full of smiles and he looked even gentler. "Let''s end the call. How about
you hang up first?"
"All right, I''ll hang up now." Maria looked at him earnestly before hanging up the phone.
Liam sighed after seeing Maria''s face disappear from his sight. He was a little disappointed, to be
honest. Why did she hang up the phone so quickly? He wanted to see her a little while longer.
Meanwhile, Maria jumped up from the bed in glee, not caring about the aching pain in her body.
Her happiness was indescribable.
She wanted to shout it from the rooftops and tell the world about it.
Hence, she rushed outside.
On her way out, she happened to see Yvonne. She hugged her and kissed her on the face, saying,
"Mommy, I love you."

"Maria, watch it." Yvonne was startled. "Why are you so happy? Have you forgotten I''m now a
pregnantdy?"
"Mom, I''m Liam''s girlfriend now. He asked me to be his girlfriend," Maria proimed excitedly.
Taken aback, Yvonne asked in a harsh tone, "So, you two slept before you made it official?"
Maria was stunned by her mother''s words, but she quickly covered it up. "Ah, you won''t understand
it." "What''s there that I don''t understand?" Yvonne said, "You silly girl, your father was right to be
worried about you. You slept with him before you two were officially together! How bold of you!"
"Ugh, mom, you''re such a party pooper. I''m telling you a secret! I''m in such a good mood now, so
why are you raining on my parade?" Maria wrapped her arms around Yvonne''s neck coyly.
"I''m not. I''m really happy for you, but I also think you''re an idiot too." Yvonne sighed before she said,
"You''re already so happy being his girlfriend. Honestly, what''s better is if he marries you and swears
to love only you for the rest of his life."
Maria then replied, "I''m working on it. I''ve already managed to get him before I even deployed all of
my charms. If I do that, he''d definitely be mine forever."

"Mom, I have to give Ernest a call first. My ssmate, Adrian, is here, so I''ll be hanging out with the
lot tomorrow."
"Oh, Adrian? He''s here? Well, invite him over for dinner then," Yvonne replied.
After that, she immediately shook her head and said, "Wait, no. Liam hasn''t evene to our
house yet, so it isn''t right for Adrian to be here either."
"Why?" Maria was puzzled.
"Adrian was supposed to be a stand-in for Liam. Now that he''s no longer needed, inviting him to our
home will make Liam jealous. You guys should just go somewhere else," Yvonne replied.
"Mom, you''re so cunning." Maria looked at her mom exasperatedly. "How could you? Adrian is my
friend, and he knows that I''m seeing Liam now."
"It''s great that it''s all out in the open. We should all strive to be more open about things, lest there
be any misunderstandings," Yvonne said.
"I''ll keep that in mind." Maria said, "You did cover up a lot of things and ran away, nearly losing me
and Dad. Thankfully, he was merciful toward you, otherwise, you''d be screwed."
"Hey, whose side are you on?"
After bickering with Yvonne for a little while, Maria went back to her room and called Ernest.
Her voice was crisp and gleeful from her excitement. "Hey, Ernest, are you awake?"
Then, Ernest replied upon hearing Maria''s joyful voice. "You sound happy. Did something good
happen? Do tell me."
"Mm, there is one, but I won''t tell you just yet."
"Don''t keep me guessing."
"Ernest, I need your help. Are you free tomorrow?"
Ernest replied, "Of course. I''ve been stuck at home with Sebastien and Sylvia for the past few days.
I''m so annoyed."
"Haha, you actually think they''re annoying?"
"They''re too loud," Ernest replied.
"By the way, my ssmate, Adrian, is back from Ennd, so let''s hang out tomorrow. I''ll ask Leah
and Liam toe as well; what do you think?"
"Liam?" Ernest immediately became alert. "You guys are keeping in touch?"
Mariaughed before she said anything. She couldn''t conceal her excitement.
Ernest was a smart man, so he understood instantly. "Don''t tell me you guys are together now?"
"Ernest, I''m literally dying of happiness. I made it! Earlier tonight, Liam asked me to be his
girlfriend." Maria could barely hide the glee in her voice as she told Ernest about what happened.
Ernest was surprised, and he chuckled into the phone. "That was fast. Liam''s already confessed to
you."
"Congrattions! It''s definitely something to be d about." "Are youing tomorrow?" "Of
course!" Ernest replied, ''TH call Liam to congratte him; you invite Leah. Set up a group chat after
that. Let''s see where we can hang out."
"All right."
After that, Maria gave Leah a call, and she immediately agreed to it. "I''m only avable until five
though. I''ll be busy after that."
"Sure, we''ll be out until early afternoon anyways," Maria replied.
"Okay then,e and pick me up tomorrow."
"Ernest will pick you up," Maria said, "I''lle with Liam tomorrow."
"Liam? He''sing as well?" Leah was curious.
"He sure is."
"Well, then you shouldn''t let this golden opportunity slip away," Leah suggested with a chuckle.
On the other hand, Maria cheered silently as she had already managed to call Liam her own.
However, she decided not to tell Leah about it first.
