"Is it?" Liam snorted. His tone spoke volumes that one couldn''t help doing a flip in their heart.
Hearing that, Maria couldn''t help turning to look at him and thought his side profile looked
exceptionally cold.
Maria knew better by now, and she could tell he was upset by nearly a nce. It was clear his mood
had been affected, but she had no idea what upset him.

"Because my mom is pregnant," Maria said directly, "She''s resting at home, and she cannot be

He couldn''t help but worry she wouldn''t take it well.
After all, having a sibling with such a huge age gap would make things awkward for an adult.
Just as he was about to say something, Adrian spoke up from behind, "Oh, congrattions then.

quickly. Should we celebrate?"
"Of course," Maria smiled and said," Adding a new member to the family is a huge deal. Once my
mother has given birth to the baby, I''ll invite you over for a party."
"Aren''t you going to invite me? " asked Liam.
"Ah?" Maria immediately cast him a nce, "Of course. You''re my senior, after all. You should all
come."

Liam was once again displeased.
Liam frowned, realizing he didn''t seem to know anything about Maria at all while Adrian could easily
reveal Maria''s thoughts and desires. It seemed that they were already close from when they were
studying in Ennd for him to understand Maria that well.
Liam stared at the road ahead, switched on his signal, and drove to the entrance of a hotel.
"Go and check if there''s a room avable."
"Here? " Adrian scanned the environment of the hotel, "Liam, isn''t this ce too close to the
airport?"
"It''ll be convenient for you to take your flight back," Liam said nonchntly.
Adrian immediately smiled and said, "Liam, I''ve just arrived and haven''t even toured the city yet.
You don''t want me to go back now, do you?"
Liam said nothing but put on a slight smile at the corner of his lips meaningfully.
To avoid the awkwardness, Maria said, "Liam would never think so. I, on the other hand, think you
should leave as soon as possible. Leave as soon as you''ve had your fun. I''m really busy."
"Maria, you heartless woman. How could you?" Adrian pouted as he got out of the car.
Maria hurriedly told Liam, "I''ll go help him book a room." After that, she got out of the car and
followed Adrian to the lobby.
In the car, Liam frowned as he looked at their backs.
He found himself feeling all kinds of difort. Especially when he saw his woman standing with
another man, he felt as if his heart was grasped tightly.

That was right, Maria was his woman.
In the hotel lobby.
As Adrian waited for the check-in procedure to bepleted at the front desk, he lowered his head
to look at Maria with a sharp gaze.
"Why are you looking at me like that? " Maria frowned.
"You and Liam have known each other for a long time, haven''t you?" Adrian asked.
Stunned, she asked, "Yes, what about it?"
Adrian looked at her for a while before saying, "Nothing, it''s just very strange."
"What''s so strange?"
"Nothing." Adrian shook his head, "As long as you like him."
Maria''s heart flipped, "Adrian, what are you trying to say?"
"Maria, there''s clearly something else on your mind," Adrian said affirmatively, "The reason you
can''t show me around is because of Liam, isn''t it?"

He merely smiled with a hint of sadness at the corner of his lips. Without looking at Maria, he said
indifferently, "I''m smart, so I know everything."
Maria was really impressed. He was smart enough to tell something was going on between Liam
and her with one look.
"So, you don''t have to be my tour guide anymore. I tour around while you go and spend time with
your boyfriend. After all, you''ll be going back to Ennd soon." It was only then Adrian looked at
her, "Once you''ve left, you''ll definitely miss him."
Hearing his words, Maria felt bad, "What are you talking about? I''lle over tomorrow morning
and show you around. I''ll even bring Ernest and Leah along. The four of us can have fun together."
"Oh, please don''t." Adrian shook his head, "I''m serious. You''d better spend time with Liam. Can''t
you tell how jealous he is? So as your buddy, I don''t want to stand between you and your
happiness."

Maria felt that she had to fulfil her duty as the host to show Adrian around Northern City for the first
time.

come along."

him."

"Sir, here''s your key card." The receptionist informed Adrian.
"Thank you." He nodded slightly and told Maria, "I''ll walk you back to the car."
